iPad Portrait
Drawn while waiting for the dentist.
No art today :/
Finished the retopo on my model though. Trying to figure out eyes now. I want them to be even prettier in 3D than I draw them in 2D.Once that's done, I've found an addon that makes the creation of hair cards much easier than individually posing every clump. Skin texturing shouldn't be a problem once I figure out how to make a normal map, and then I can hack her head onto a template bod...
Mordred Comm 1
Part 1 of 2 of Scipio's commission.I still have quite a ways to go, but I think I'm making good progress on my improvement this month.
Mordred Comm WIP
Commission courtesy of Scipio, I decided to slow down and do things right. The picture above is about 5 hours of fairly concentrated work, and I liked the results so far, so figured I'd share them.Ideally, it won't take me nearly 5 hours to match or exceed this quality in the future, but you gotta walk before you run.
Bikini peek
Cooldown sketch from a stream yesterday, wanted to try something I don't usually do, so I gave her lips.
Hanging out 2
... peril doesn't exactly describe this outcome. Part 2 (of 2) of a linework commission for Bargast, and it appears part 1 of a feast for whomever caught her.
Hanging out
Linework commission for Bargast, of his kitsune cleric whose name I actually never caught.I called this picture "kitsune peril" in my files, but, well ...
Prequel
Aliapoh commission, part 3 of 3. Sahja and Sypha have some less deadly fun with a mimic.
Commission Grind Stream
I'll be streaming a lot today, so I skipped my usual post time to make this a notification. Quite a few of you who follow my Fanbox are also commissioners, so there's a chance I'll get to yours today.Come watch, if you'd like: https://piczel.tv/watch/poetic(I also didn't draw anything yesterday, but ssh.)
Valerie McBride
Based on a meme.Valerie is, as her description implies, playing elaborate mind games with herself under the assumption that Brandon is the eccentric millionaire he is in her head.
Gayle
Tried out something new for the linework, but I'm not entirely happy with the rendering. Might revisit it tomorrow.Update as of May 19, 2022: The version of this picture posted publicly on Pixiv is the updated version with improved details. Here: https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/98465575
Lyra Vaughan
A name is a powerful thing, isn't it?
Heidi
Sierra's sister. I intended to give her huge boobs, but keeping her more realistic seemed right this time.
Maya headshot
There's not much left of -her-. But there's plenty of body left! This is the high-resolution version of what I posted to normal Pixiv (or will post within a few hours).
There they are!
Look at all that milk! She doesn't need an intact neck to be a good dairy product. The commissioner was Aliapoh, and the mimic snacks are Sahja and Sypha, respectively the commissioner's FFXIV character, and one of his friends'.
Who's in the box?
Find out tomorrow!Commission work for someone whose name is a potential spoiler until tomorrow.
Elf
As the dwarves would say: a pointy-eared leaf-lover.
Sketches
Who was the girl on the right? No one knows.
Nameless
Day 2 of keeping that anatomy book open, I decided to design a new character. Need a name.
Modeling
Spent most of the day learning how to sculpt properly. Needs repetition, but this is definitely something I can do. It'll be liberating to have fully custom characters
Speaking of anatomy ...
Inica let her hair down, and also most of her clothes.I'll be keeping my anatomy books open from now on.
Butchery Timelapse
I have a shorter, thicker model made for Eliya, but I find myself wanting to push her design just a little further into the shortstack spectrum.2022-4-30 butcheryI had a Burne Hogarth anatomy book open on the side while drawing this. I think it helped quite a bit, and I'll keep using it in the future.
Maya doodle
A bit rough, but I hope to do more like this, showing off Maya's body, both because it's hot, and because I really need the anatomy practice.Maybe I ought to design a character whose main defining trait is extremely expressive hands.
Butchery
"I could spend 30 minutes inking and coloring ..." I said, not knowing what I was getting myself into. It takes far more than 30 minutes to color 3 figures. On the upside, I got the skin tones right this time. The dancers are caramel-flavored, not chocolate.
Dancer WIP
I could spend 30 more minutes refining the sketch and bringing it up to par with most of the other dancer comics, but I could also line and color it from here. I haven't done much of these girls in color, so I'll probably go with that.
Inica
Drawing on the iPad feels odd to me. Either I produce some the best work I've ever done, or something a bit below my average. This is the latter, but I figured it was worth sharing anyway.
Okayu
Still listening to her for Japanese immersion. 進歩しています!Isn't it neat how the implication of large breasts hidden away inside a hoodie can be so appealing? 後でおかずさんを描きます。
Maya paizuri
What else should she use those for?
Sahja (but alive this time)
I hadn't drawn her alive yet. Fixed that by editing an older picture. Now back to killing.
Study to get back in the flow of things
This is the result of the timelapse I posted yesterday. While I was on break, I realized I both need and want to do more studies (and use more male characters to avoid temptation in the process). For this one, I tried to bring the character's pose and anatomy as close to the reference as possible without tracing, training my eye. I did learn a bit with just this one attempt, as I often found my...
