I really liked how this page turned out, despite the awkward middle phase (included ) where I didn't know what I was doing with the colours in the big panel :P. I worked in the lines of the path+ background so they all point towards the panels or figures, which is something I try to keep in mind, but usually forget!

It took quite a while to settle on colours for this page- I usually just get photo reference and go for a reasonably realistic theme, but I REALLY don't want to, it feels dull and like it doesn't fit the rest of the comic! I'm so happy to have a different colour scheme guys ;-;. It's been too many pages since I changed it up! Also enjoying keeping it slightly simpler for the flashback, sorta to make it feel less grounded? Though I think the background I added on the last panel drags it down a little, I wanted to show the walls in a sorry state + maybe hint at what they lived like.
