God Slayers - Page 70 - High Res
Lighting!
Weekly Update - 22
Oh crap, did I miss one? I think I missed one! Yikes. Scary that I didn't even notice until now!Well, my excuse is that we've been busy. Very busy. Anyway, let's move on with it!Today: Working on Page 71Tonight: Playing 7 Days to DieTomorrow: More page 71!Other stuff: Thinking of buying a home. And moving to said home. And all the insanity (both good and bad) that comes with it!
Friday Sketch - Hanging Around
Someone gave me the idea to draw some of the characters upside down! So I did.Comic will be back next Wednesday! Thanks for reading.
Twins Tower
As I mentioned on Twitter, I'm skipping a post this week. Decided to skip this week instead of next week or the one after because it's important to me that there's no gaps or breaks as the next three pages go public. (Read them now on Patreon for $1! -shameful plug)I decided to post a bonus sketch this week to make up for it, but I didn't have any ideas, so I asked on Twitter if an...
Friday Sketch - Relationships
For today's sketch, I drew a couple of my favorite character relationship dynamics!Top: Max thanks Kiva for chasing off some bad guys. This is almost certainly canonical.Bottom: If Kiera and Riley ever meet again, I imagine it'd probably go something like this.
God Slayers - Page 69 - High Res
High Res for you! Easier to see the vibrations in that final panel now.
God Slayers - Page 69
You see something often enough, you become desensitized to it.
Weekly Update 21
I hope these updates aren't too spoilery. But the chapter is kind of winding down anyway, so the next few pages will probably go somewhat fast...-ish.Today: Wrapping up Page 69 (tee-hee)Tonight: More Cataclysm: Dark Days AheadTomorrow: Finishing Page 69 and starting Page 70!Other Stuff: Cat seems to be doing well, despite his radioactivity, so business as usual, I suppose!
Max
No clever title this time, apparently.
God Slayers - Page 68 - High Res
There's a lot of city out there.
God Slayers - Page 68
For once, they aren't fighting.
Weekly Update 20
I'm going to try really hard to get a comic out this week, but no promises. I made good progress this weekend but there's still quite a bit to do. Plus we got the cat going in for radiation treatment today. I'm going to TRY though.Today: Cat and then Page 68Tonight: More Page 68 probablyTomorrow: Finishing Page 68! (I hope)Challenges: Caaaaat.
Yet More Riley
I'm sure by now you are all sick of seeing Riley. I am too, that's why I drew her only about a dozen more times this week.In all seriousness, I love this character. And merely because of the fact she hasn't shown up in the comic yet, I haven't had the chance to really nail down and settle on a more or less consistent look for her. So, here's a number of different expressions fr...
God Slayers - Page 67 - High Res
The highest of reses.
God Slayers - Page 67
Even Kiera eventually gets tired of being yelled at.
Weekly Update 19
The page for this week is ready to go, getting a head start on NEXT week's page already! Huzzah! The benefit to a page with a lot of shouting is that I got a lot of practice drawing mouths.Today: Drawing Page 68Tonight: Playing Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead (yes, more of that, and still)Tomorrow: More drawing of Page 68!Challenges: Still dealing with the vet, trying to return them meds I didn'...
Max's Map
Little bit of a different post than usual for Fridays but I haven't really gotten much of a chance to show the layout of the city, so, here Max drew a map for Kiva, showing him how to get to Max's place! The big pink heart is where Kiva lives.
God Slayers - Page 66 - High Res
Kiva screaming at Kiera in full resolution.
God Slayers - Page 66
If I can just say... this scene has been stuck in my head for years. Ever since I first decided to have Kiera conceal exactly how much she owed in Chapter 1. It has existed in this form, in my brain, dialogue unchanging, all this time. It is incredible to finally be able to draw it and publish it for everyone to see. So... yeah! Thanks for reading. :3
Weekly Update 18
It's going to be a fun challenge to keep these preview updates spoiler free! There's some big things happening in Page 66 I don't want anyone to see before it's ready.Today: Probably finishing up Page 66Tonight: Haven't decided yet! Some game, probably.Tomorrow: Finishing touches on Page 66, starting on 67Challenges: Dumb cats are dumb!
Riley Dansen
Just a silly quick doodle for today!
God Slayers - Page 65 - High Res
Kuserra almost looks pretty on a sunny day. Almost.
God Slayers - Page 65
Oh dear...
Weekly Update 17
Characters are nearly done, but the background and shading still needs a lot of work. I might try my new method of lighting/shading again, test it out, see what happens!Today: Trying to finish this!Tonight: More Terraria or Planetfall.Tomorrow: Starting the next!Challenges: Nothing really. Cats are okay, for now. At least for now until we make one of them radioactive. That should be fun.
Hanging out with Max
Kiva and Max are the best of friends. I often like to imagine what they'd do for fun in Kuserra. This seems like one such thing.Though I've had this idea in my head for months, this was a lot of fun to finally sit down and draw.
High Res Comics
My husband recently revealed to me a conundrum. I'm drawing comics at almost 3000x4000 pixels in size, because I like working on big canvases. Then I'm saving them out and uploading them. However, this is resulting in PNG files of about 8MB or more, which can, depending on internet connection, take a long time to download for viewing. We have very fast internet, and it's even taking us...
God Slayers - Page 64 - Hi Res
And now we're doing this!
God Slayers - Page 64
New smaller size for faster viewing/downloading. Turns out, uploading an 8MB image is pointless when most people can't even SEE it at that resolution, because no matter the size of the image, most browsers won't render it any larger. I'm gonna make a post about this soon, but I'm thinking of posting web-friendly smaller scale versions of the comic for people who just want to read t...
Weekly Update 16
Decided these weekly posts should start including something more than just text, so here's a preview of Page 65! Climbing up to Kiva's place is hard work!Today: Page 65!Tonight: Terraria or Age of Wonders: PlanetfallTomorrow: Still Page 65.Challenges: The house is a mess, so... probably need to get some of that done. The cat seems to be a little better though! Wish we knew what was wrong w...
