Last one for this set of sketch commissions is Piplup, Prinplup, and the unnamed new final evo! This big dude is Water/Electric and is a buff warrior penguin with lightning armor, loosely inspired by Tawaki, a Maori god!

Next up for this set of sketch commissions is Torchic, Combusken, and the unnamed new final evo! This time it's Fire/Ghost and has became a ghostly griffin instead. The commissioner really wanted the new final evos to be distinct from the originals so we went for an unexpected griffin route here!

Yorica: Operossum [WIP]

Another design for Yorica! This one is a bit old, so I might update it at some point. But anyway, this is Operossum - the regional rodent! Based on the opossum and theater (Phantom of the Opera specifically) as a twist on how opossums play dead like they're actors. The pre-evo hasn't really been decided yet - sketch by Fimbo!

UV-349 Perch, UB Veil [WIP]

Another set of variants from the Ultra Deep Sea - Feebas and a new evolution, Exolotic! They're based on a variety of deep sea fish like the tripodfish, flashlight fish, and dragonfish. Also a little bit of lionfish too! The main idea here was to convey a look of "otherworldly beauty," which is to say: make it weird and offputting, but still pretty!

UV-443 Maw, UV-444 Lurk, UB Gaunt [WIP]

UB Rebirth

This design was such a pain in the ass but it's finally done!!! Together with Sunkern and Sunflora they represent a cycle of life, death, and rebirth.
