Desktop/phone wallpapers! [Leeds ties off the choker]

It's been a minute since I've done these, but I wanted to share some nice wallpaper versions of this moment! I even meticulously trimmed the break-out overlaps and the crop didn't even wind up needing them hahaha 😭As always, if there's anything you'd like to be talked about more in-depth, have higher resolution or textless versions shared, or be made into wallpapers, give me...

Building BARBAROUS Ch6 / page 20

Chapter 6 / Page 23 was probably my favorite page I've drawn in a long time!!! Ananth and I really enjoy drawing out emotions and long silent moments... it's something we haven't been able to indulge in lately since we try to keep chapters around 30 pages (as an exercise in restraint and also to keep work-time for me down since I'm Not A Very Fast Cartoonist, especially since I&#39...

[gif] Making some fake alchemy

I shared this illustration a while ago but now that the page has been shared I wanted to share the making-of!I've mentioned this before but piecing together pseudo-magical/scientific imagery is a guilty pleasure of mine, the internet is a goldmine of scans of alchemical texts and I love to collect them. I also attached some references I was pulling from when putting this together. My intent was...

Barbarous Ch6/Pg 9 thumbnail breakdown

Panel 1 of page 9 was probably the most intensive 3D space I've put together so far, despite looking like, WELL, mostly negative space.I found this (FREE!) hallway asset of a police office or school that I've found really helpful because it's a large geometric stage that ALSO has a variety of corners!! So it's been repurposed for a few different things now haha. Also appearing is t...

KICKSTARTER HAS 6 HOURS LEFT (also a small announcement)

WAHH the kickstarter has less than 6 hours remaining!!!! I doodled this up for the occasion and wanted to share it hahaADDITIONALLY, I wanted to share something: since we haven't been able to attend conventions in the past Nearly-Two-Years, it also means we haven't been able to share any of our 'convention exclusive' merchandise. This includes all my fandom art (I have a personal n...

PROGRESS GIF: designing the Leeds PVC charm!

I wanted to share the process to making the NEW LEEDS PVC CHARM!! (You can get him through our BARBAROUS chapter 5 Kickstarter which is running right now!!)When we showed off the Chapter 6 cover the response to Percy's Leeds charm was so big we decided to make it! Unfortunately we don't currently have the schedule/manufacturer relationship/budget to make a 3D hard plastic charm like in the...

Barbarous page 7 thumbnail breakdown

The scenes in Hale's abandoned doctor's office-hideout wound up being fairly complicated thumbnail wise so I wanted to show off how I built the thumbnail!I was super happy to see a bunch of 3D models of office furniture for free on the Clip Studio Asset library - there's all sorts of various chairs, tables, machinery and electronics, office layouts, much of which for free. The only spe...

BARBAROUS: building a cathedral shot

I personally think that the shot of Cameron from Page 3 / Panel 1 is one of the cooler ones from the chapter so far, so I wanted to share how I put it together!Once again, there's an astounding number of free-or-inexpensive 3D assets available in the Clip Studio Asset library and I found this absurdly detailed cathedral for free download(!!). There were some columns and small windows on either...
