WHOOPS YEAH THIS IS A THUMBNAIL PAGE SOMETIMES I GO TOO HARD WITH THESE THINGSAt the very least there was practically no cleanup done with this one in the polished pencils page - the two look practically identical haha. I really liked the gesture of the final panel it didn't get changed at all

I was especially excited to do this page for the small action between panels one and two of Cecilia killing the weed with her skeleton hand. It might have been too subtle? There was a lot of text on panel 2 so the figures had to be kept pretty small haha

Lighting was really integral on this page, so it was roughed in even from the thumbnail stage. (these are the pencils, but they used the same shading layer as from the thumbnails haha)As a visual artist I feel like I'm usually pretty good at hitting emotional cues- but for some reason it took me about 5 takes to hit Percy's expression and body language. I think I got it in the end.

Ananth and I went to Hawaii for a week in October, and since I don't know how to not work I also have been doing some travelogues of our trip! I don't know when we'll wind up sharing or collecting them, but I'm going to start posting peeks of them here while I finish them!

At some point in the process, the pencils for Page 1 wound up being mirrored and never flipped back, and for the life of me I don't remember if it was intentional or accidental? I think the page still reads fine!!! π¦
