Sketches

Didn't want to include these in the last batch due to the difference in tone.

Trying more warped perspective stuff. This was particularly tricky because I wanted to use a 3d block out to paint over. While it's possibly to do fisheye lenses in blender it was quite tricky to work into my process, mostly because I started with a sketch first. The background went pretty smoothly once I got into it, so smoothly I forgot to save process shots! I'm proud of how well it turn...

How to handle your fox girls + more species sketches.

Clara

Winner of this month's illustration poll! I kind of burned myself out on illustrations for a few days for a bit while working on this one. Fortunately bounced back quickly. For Enthusiast tier, the process video will be in the rewards folder distributed at the end of the month.

Sketches

Diplomacy with predator tribes is exhausting work, but there are never any shortages of eager diplomats.Figure I ought to start colouring more of these sketches. I need to figure out how to make flat colours look good.

Loona Process

This one follows the usual process for my work, sketch > flat colours > rough shading > merge it all together and render it. I had all the roughs done several months ago and I just picked it up again to try and practice rendering detailed fur.The main thing for me is I'm still trying to figure out how to balance the amount of detail I go into. Don't want too much because it just becomes no...

July Illustration Poll - Results

Clara takes July with a strong lead. Probably not too surprising to anyone, though Inui did make a good showing. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Loona

Actually started this a couple months ago, left it and only decided recently to come back and work on it more.

Sketches

More species practice. Which is your favourite?

All in the Delivery - Page 1

I've been teasing about doing comics for ages now. This is not the big one I had planned, but another small one to test out styles and introduce myself to the process without overwhelming myself. I'll be trying to get 1-2 pages done per month, though this should only have 3 or 4 at most. Hope y'all enjoy.

Another fun scene idea plus some practice with doing other species and body types that I don't draw much.

Ivy Pepper Process

Thought I'd try writing about about the process. I figure I should try to go into a little more detail about what I'm trying to do in my work a little more for y'all in the Enthusiast tier. I can't say I'm much of a teacher but maybe some of you will find this interesting.I had a reasonable good idea of the scene in my head when I first went into this, you'll see in the pro...

Project Poll - Results

D comes out ahead with a pretty good lead. Thanks to everyone who voted! As I've said before, the Project Poll is going to be a bit more relaxed than the Monthly Illustration, I might be a bit experimental with the style and I'm not setting a hard deadline.

Ivy Pepper

Winner of the June Illustration Poll. I'm trying to pay more attention to values in my illustrations. I started this one in greyscale to plan it out properly. I also decided to go back to rendering backgrounds manually with this one. I don't want to get too reliant on using 3d, and unless I'm doing something extremely complex I think it tends to take a fair bit longer.I'm quite pro...

Sketches

Trying some slightly different things with eyes, bit more toony, Bad Guys inspired.

Project Poll - Supporter

I've spent good deal of time this month focusing on a project that should be able to post soon. In the meantime, I'm feeling like finishing another one of these! Probably safe to say that this one wont be finished until next month. The Project Poll is going to be a bit more relaxed than the Monthly Illustration. I'll put forward a selection of these sketches I'm most interested in f...
