Whisker Wednesday: Adopted - Stevie & McQueen!
Yup, it’s true! My husband and I finally brought Stevie and McQueen home last week and have been giving them a chance to settle in. They love our new house and are best friends with our resident cats already! I hope you don’t mind if I keep sharing their adventures with you every now and again?- - Merri
Archie busts out!
This morning Archie decided he was done with limited yard access and wanted the run of the place, so he took himself for an arctic yard adventure and who are we to stand in his way when he’s safe and happy!?We’ve been very careful with Archie’s acclimation to the yard and today was the day! We’re so excited to share this! We’ve used music because the wind is horrendous here today.
Sophie sunshine
How beautiful does our Sophie look this morning?! It’s another cold and snowy day here at Fox HQ, but these faces keep us warm whatever the weather!
Mala and Esmae - snow angels!
Playing with these two whilst it’s been snowing today has been amazing. I can’t begin to explain how wonderful it is and how lucky I feel to spend each day with the foxes. - Merri
Meet the new foxes!
Early yesterday evening, we welcomed 6 new foxes, all fur farm survivors, to Saveafox - one of whom is actually Mouse’s sister and another of whom is related to Pip. Please join us in welcoming them! They’re nervous and a little scared but they’re already starting to understand they’re safe here. We’re really excited to start getting to know them and sharing their personalities with you ...
***NEW RESCUE ALERT***
Today we bring 6 new foxes from the fur farm, just in the nick of time. We will be transferring them to other rescues once they’ve been vetted and will share all of their info later today/tomorrow.
Whisker Wednesday pt deux!
This week it’s a two parter because we are again going to share the amazing Miss Agatha - if you remember, she’s an 18 year old cat that spent the last several years ignored in a bathroom. She had no enrichment, nowhere to climb or scratch, no toys, no affection and no space. Over the last month or so, she has really begun to remember how to be a cat. She talks to us each morning about breakfa...
Happy Whisker Wednesday!
Savannah was enjoying the snow this morning so we thought it was perfect for Whisker Wednesday. We had over 7 inches of snow fall yesterday!
The Wisdom of Mouse
This week we asked Mouse about the cold because we’ve had snow twice now and it’s only October. She said: ‘I know, being a fox, I should like the cold but I only weigh 4lbs so I’m a House Mouse(TM) until spring now!’Us too, Mouse. Us too!
Happy Caturday!
Here’s Leo vs the Aquapurr for your Caturday viewing pleasure! We are so lucky to have one of these for the kitties, they absolutely love it - playing in it and having fresh running water anytime they want it.
Good morning Mouse!
It was cold overnight, so this morning Mouse used her super powers of cuteness to tell us she was staying in bed snuggling with her bears!Good call, Mouse!
It’s Whisker Wednesday!
With Agatha, who found the worlds best sun spot, and Stevie and McQueen! How’re your kitties celebrating?
Plum
We always do our best to be as honest and open with you all as we can, and in that spirit we wanted to let you know that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Plum yesterday. Earlier this year, we noticed that Plum had an abscess on the right side of his face; we took him to one of our vets, who dutifully drained it. Unfortunately, a month later it was back, so we took him to our other vet who diagno...
A Caturday announcement from Notch....
Notch: "I refuse to let Leo take my spot as baby 😭 I'm still the baby!"Notch has been extra clingy with me since Leo arrived. And she HATES Leo 😆 She’s so jealous
The many faces of a sleepy kitten!
Leo would like to wish everyone a Happy Caturday...when he wakes up!
***SNEAK PEAK***
It’s been a long time coming and that’s entirely my fault and I apologise but we wanted to share episode 3 of Saveafox Snack Shop with our Patrons first because the wait was just so interminable!—Merri
Hi Dimka!
Have you noticed that all the foxes are starting to fluff up for winter? The grey foxes are no exception! I wonder if we will be able to tell Nikita and Dimka apart come winter?

We just did a huge post of benefits. We are still waiting for more supplies on some items so they will be staggered but 200 pieces of mail left Fox HQ yesterday morning - Merri spent all day Friday packing, sorting and picking and applying mailing labels. We can’t wait for you to receive your items. We’re so sorry it’s been slow getting these to you - managing items has been a learning curve...
