True reds for Tuesday
Did you know that the majority of foxes here at save a fox rescue are red fox species? We also have two Arctics who are the blue kind and we also have one grey fox. The red fox comes in a multitude of different colour morphs and today I thought it would be really nice for us to highlight our true reds; they are the colour morph we have the fewest of and I managed to get some really nice pictures o...

January and Fox behaviour
It's mating season for the Red Fox species; and even though our foxes get fixed they still get hormonal and absolutely bonkers this time of year. Esmae is usually known for being one of our sweetest foxes here. But not lately! She has been extra food aggressive and a major bully to all the other foxes in her yard. While all of the foxes try to remain on her good side, the staff here at SAVEAFOX...

Fox boxing with Dixie and Malachi
This is one of the ways foxes deal with problems when they have them. They don’t hurt one another but they do make sure the other knows they are not liked!

***ADOPTED*** Finding a home for Peri
We’ve posted this on our social media but I want to give you guys the in-depth info on this sweet girl and why we are pushing so very hard to find her a home. She is 6 years old, she was born here at the rescue and was adopted. At the end of last year, during a divorce, she was abandoned in the house she grew up in for weeks. One of the parties involved in that divorce went to get her and decide...

FINNEGAN FRIDAY!
Today is officially Finnegan Friday! We wanted to share some extra Finnegan content with our patrons!
Valentine blows his coat
It may only be January but Valentine seems to know something we don’t and has started to shed his winter coat. He is definitely one of the scruffiest foxes when shedding.
Winter plays!
Winter plays like this, on her own, often, and sometimes for hours. Isn’t she just the cutest?
Finnegan and Vixie get yard time...
After being held prisoner by Winter for 4 days last week, Finnegan and Vixie are finally free!
