Misaki Diaries 01: Awazaki Point
"Okay...where do we want to start?"Alpha is standing on the rugged terrain of Awazaki Point, the southeastern tip ofMiura Peninsulaand essentially the outermost edge ofthe worldas she knows it to be. The winds blew strong against her face, but the numerous clear tide pools, as she hopped from one boulder to another, pleasantly warmed her feetwith the afternoon sun. This is the first of Misa...

Miyako Diaries 20: The Light Ahead
<<Gulp-gulp>>Chihaya let out some air from her mouth. Oops, that one was unplanned - she had rehearsed with Aya, prior to the dive, to exhale air at which specific point during the journey. Miyako Diaries 19: First Priority
That day, Aya and Chihaya set out on their bikes early in the morning. They rode along the main island's western shores and onto Irabu Grand Bridge, pedaling two miles across the ocean- and arrivingonto the twin islands of Irabu and Shimoji. Where they were headed,TooriPonds, were still way on the other side, and it took them a good hourto travel through the island'sthick foliages, small v...

Aya is with her fisherman dad today at the docks of Hisamatsu. They had sailed together from Hirara Port, a few kilometers to thenorth, where Dad usually docks. Dad was looking for a new boat - a small one but with a good fridge and hopefully with a slick engine. While Dad negotiated with some locals, Aya decided to take a dip from the bulwarks. The water was a bit chilly but felt good. There was no...

Miyako Diaries 17: Puella Mortua (?)
Aya has been aware of the recent craze - almost - about the "Miyako Mermaid Girl" that was now all over Twitter. A whole community of people were guessing what that beautiful being was that made its sudden debut at the Underwater Observatory on the rainy day. Of course Aya knew about who that was, although the "Mermaid" herself - Aya's cousin and best friend - couldn't have...
