Chapter 2 update

I've been sketching one page every day the past couple weeks and I think I'll finish the whole chapter somewhere this and next week. Then I'll proceed to ink them ✒️

Off they go!And this is the end of the first chapter! Now, unlike Tony Comics, I want to take little breaks in-between chapters to rest a few weeks and work on the story writing, work on other things and pretty much avoid burnout. But don't worry, I will keep you updated through wips and sketches; I'm already working on the next chapter little by little 👀✨

Time to go lol

Thumbnails

I printed this for making thumbnails of the comics for next chapter. It might look silly to draw stick figures in those, but it really helps to think of the poses and composition beforehand! The speech bubbles position might change, but at least I can visualize their size now. Always write your story before drawing xwx

Oh, the empty nest.

Everyone has different methods

Time to move on ✨

Concept - Logo

Here's the first version of the cover image for the comic, minus the background haha. I ended up changing it to give it more personality. Also, being honest, this first logo fits better for a candy brand 😂.

Julio & Poncho - Chapter 1

The first chapter is done! I hope you like it ✨I have plans of fixing little things here and there like lines of dialogue to make it more natural, but nothing that affects the story. Once everything's done, I will update it and you'll get a notification. And speaking of notifications, whenever I plan to update a new one (probably somewhere in august), I'll make a post to inform you, s...

Cars

It started as a simple practice and I ended up finishing it lol. I think I should make more of these

Julio & Poncho - Page 18

It can't get any worse......right?

Concept - Fermin

I made this reference sheet a couple weeks ago. To be honest, I didn't realize how useful those are, so I might make more like these in the future

Time to head back ✨

Julio & Poncho - Page 16

Yes, they also have to work on rainy days -w-

Seriously, beware of potholes

Guess there's no choice

With great power comes great responsibility.

WIP

Guess this comic will be a great learning experience for drawing vehicles, hahaha

Ahh, the good ol' driver's ed

Julio & Poncho - Page 11

Drawing lineless backgrounds has been quite a challenge but I think I'm getting the hang of it

Julio & Poncho - Page 10

There goes the plan.

Poncho enters the stage ✨

Julio & Poncho - Page 08

A new obstacle... literally.

Julio & Poncho - Page 07

Okay, I think that by this page I've reached the point where I left with the previous writing. 7 pages vs. 16.

Julio & Poncho - Page 06

I'm slowly getting the hang of this background process c':

Julio & Poncho - Page 05

I want to get out of my comfort zone so I wanna make lineless backgrounds for this comic. Although, it's been kinda hard to keep up with two comics per week. I might make some changes here and there. Quality over quantity, you know c':I'll let you know in a future post
