Commission — Exiern

Last year, I drew a commission featuring the two main characters from the long-running fantasy webcomic Exiern! This year, I got another opportunity to draw an Exiern scene, and I jumped at it! (Both are in the image gallery.)Exiern started sometime in 2005 (believe it or not, no one's quite sure when ... and it's passed through a few hands since then), it's anywhere from a few months ...

Timing is everything

Here's something I'm curious about. What time would be optimal for receiving exclusive Patreon posts? I'm particularly thinking about the NSFW content. After all, the best experience would be enjoying it without someone looking over your shoulder, right? So when are you most likely to be able to do that? I understand that you can choose to wait to click the link. And I know that, due t...

Bonus cartoon — Looking for the perfect fit

Cinderella got her name from having to clean the cinders from the fireplace. If, instead, she had to make pizzas, would her name be Mozzarella? Happy Monday!

AMA: Side characters

Q.: I got into a fun discussion with some comic book friends the other day about how the 'Big 2' frequently have cool supporting characters, then stop doing anything with them because they're out of ideas and later introduce a new character to serve the same role redundantly rather than using the characters they already have. As someone who has found a decent balance between introducin...

I feel bad for not featuring Dynasty on Mother's Day, but I'm happy to report that she's doing really well! AMA: Good sex (scenes)

Q.: Are there any EiAD sex scenes you are particularly proud of?A.: That's a surprisingly tricky question to answer. Whenever I look at my work, I see things I like and aspects I'd do differently. As a result, I like different EiAD comics for a wide range of reasons. Here are a few examples.EiAD 17 was when I think I hit my stride in NSFW comics. It was a scorching hot cuckold scene with Ta...

Bonus cartoon: Frankenstein and the Wolf Man

For my international readers who may not be familiar with the term, a "meet-cute" is a term for a cute, charming, or amusing first encounter between romantic partners (as in a movie). As for the original "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man," Bela Lugosi played the Frankenstein monster instead of Boris Karloff. Originally, Lon Chaney Jr. was to play both the Wolf Man and the monster, bu...

AMA: The next Kickstarter...

Q.: How do you decide when it's the right time to launch the Kickstarters? Is it based on just getting the right amount of material ready? Are there seasonal things to watch that influence funding? Do they stay on a fixed schedule as a part of the business model? It's been well-noted that the Patreon flows on a pretty reliable schedule of A-B-C, but I was curious how that extends to other ...
