Evil Inc, Jan. 24, 2023

Here's your early access to next Tuesday's Evil Inc! This update includes some backstory to Desi's home in the "dark dimension" known as the Neither Realm.

Bonus cartoon — Scarecow

Starting your Monday off with a bovine comedy. Although milking cows is rarely done by hand anymore, I'm told the generational trauma persists. Bad news for them, but for us... pretty a-mooooosing.

Q.: With so many great characters and so many interesting storylines, how do you balance the A Story, B Story, C Story, etc? Do you have specific cliffhangers in mind to leave them at before swapping, or do you try to wrap up individual threads before moving on, or is it more of a page/time thing of switching on a schedule so that everything can stay fresh? Q.: Are there any legacy newspaper comics that, if you were offered to become artist on, like Randy Milholland and Popeye, you would accept?A.: Newspapers are dead, and there’s no future in newspaper comics. And, sadly, it's been that way for nearly twenty years. But that’s kind of a drab answer, so let’s take economic realities off the table. Let’s say that I was guaranteed a favorable...
