A little clip of my free dive the other day🐠🪸
Not a nude, although would be a pretty cool idea to do something like this💡 however, I’m not trying to scare away my new roommate😂
I used to free dive all the time with friends, but mainly just by myself, which I guess in retrospect isn’t the most safe idea ever but w/e haha.
This time of the year in Florida is prime for free diving. In the morning, the ocean is flatter than a lake and the water is crystal clear. I’d wake up at the crack of dawn, grab a paddle board, and paddle out about 1/2 a mile to the second reef, tie up to the buoy 🛟. I’d spend hours out there listening to music, diving down to the reef, and just enjoying the tranquility that comes with being far away from people.
The ocean is my happy place in this chaotic world. Over the past few years, I have disconnected myself from it inadvertently. All of my friends that I used to share it with moved to different parts of the world and I developed crippling anxiety/ depression. Not sure why, I used to be such a carefree person and I miss that. But lately, I’ve caught glimpses of peace/happiness so I’m working on it💪🏼
A big part of healing will be returning to the ocean, so I’m making a big effort to do so. Luckily, my new roommate is a big ocean person. I didn’t even feel like going out that morning, but he swayed me to go and I’m really happy he did. It’s great to have people in your life that push you out of your comfort zone.
A month ago, my life seemed like a big mess and I didn’t understand what/why certain things were happening. But now I’m seeing that things were ending to make way for better things to come🙏🏼
I’m learning to embrace change by trusting the process. It’s a little hard at times, but everything falls into place❤️🌊
