Damn I really think I love you guys ❤️ I took a few pics this morning while I pondered life. Lol The word empowerment is thrown around a lot in media especially for woman. I’m afraid I never stopped to explore what that really meant, until very recently. This morning while editing my pics I pulled up the definition of empowerment … Wikipedia’s version 🙂 “Empowerment is the degree of autonomy and self-determination in people and in communities. This enables them to represent their interests in a responsible and self-determined way, acting on their own authority. It is the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights. Empowerment as action refers both to the process of self-empowerment and to professional support of people, which enables them to overcome their sense of powerlessness and lack of influence, and to recognize and use their resources.” I want to point out that “support” is a huge part of all definitions I found for empowerment. Your support has been essential to my growth and development. I get a little stronger every day. Is it messy? Hell yeah! Thanks for coming along for the ride. I even want to thank those who have tested me and pushed me to think a little harder, about who I am and who I want to be. I really don’t believe you meant any harm.
