If you've been with me for a while you know that but to sum it up my family had a lot of job turnover, several hospitalizations, a rough bout with covid followed immediately with a stomach bug, a pair of funerals and just the day to day grind of living with three younger kids while working 2.5 jobs. That led to some crippling anxiety and depression for all of us. Yeah, it was kinda a lot.We had our ups to though. A lovely vacation to the hot springs. A couple new friends. Some great completed projects around the house and I completed a half marathon and started this page! So it wasn't all for nothing but I've been in a fucking rute for the last six months going from high to low at the drop of a hat.
So to help get things going again I registered for another half marathon and you'll be along for the ride. I'll give you weekly updates and some post run pics (both naughty and nice). Having goals helps me tremendously so in excited to make this one.
So....long story short, I ran my first longer run of the year and for the little amount of running I've done this year it went amazing. I improved every mile and topped out at 8:36 on mile four out of five. I need to stay eating, drinking and sleeping better but this is good motivation.
