The next day we went again to the south of Vietnam to Cambodia but this time there was such a downpour which had not happened for the whole month, although it rained almost every day. All the local Vietnamese are used to riding a motorcycle in the rain, as we were already too, but on this day the roads were empty and only the most reckless rode in such rain. But we need to leave Vietnam before our visa expires, so we can not wait. As a result, we rode along the highway until we came across a huge puddle, which was the whole length of the highway. Miguel thought that it was another ordinary puddle and there would be no problems to drive through it at full speed. But as soon as we drove into it, we realized that it was not just a puddle. A wave of water completely covered us. The bike could not go further in such deep water that it began to stop itself and eventually we stalled in the middle of the puddle. The water was so high so reached the middle of the engine and our backpacks with a laptop and equipment. We dismounted from the bike and started pushing it towards the shore. And fortunately, the local guys saw this and rushed to help us. We thought that we had broken our bike, but the locals quickly took a dry rag, unscrewed the spark plug, wiped it, put it back in place and in a few minutes the bike was ready to go. But we were definitely not ready to go further, because we were so wet like never before, we did not have a single dry place left and besides, it was very cold now. We asked the guys to put up a tent in the yard and they offered to put up a tent in their house, or rather in the garage, which the Vietnamese have right in their house. But as soon as we put up the tent, an old granny ran out and decided that she did not need tourists in her garage at all and quickly chased us out of the house with a scream. And we went on, completely wet, shaking from the cold and not really knowing where we were going, and the road signs on the road didn't help at all (photo๐๐
