I'm finally feeling settled at the new pad, and it was time to sage the space. Real talk though, burning sage is an ancient ritual of spiritual detoxification. I often use it to lovingly cleanse both mySelf and my living areas with intention to release negative energy. I imagine it flushing out stagnancy and creating fresh space for abundance to enter.
I know a lot of people think it's just a heap of silly hippie shit but regardless of the metaphysical purposes I like to use it for, research shows that the smoke of dried up sage changes the ionic composition of the air and has a direct effect on reducing stress levels. Very similar to the way a salt lamp works. And hey, if anything, it leaves the most earthy, delightful scent.
