Iโm exhausted ๐ด As a reminder responses will be a bit delayed while Iโm at races! Theyโre looooong days with really no breaks! And then by the end of the day Iโm so hungry and tired I eat and pass out ๐

For anyone whoโs curious about what I do at the races: generally I arrive the day before the action! Most of the races are fairly far away so I arrive that evening after driving all day.
The first full day Iโm there is registration/tech.. I help out with either or! For registration I check racers in, make sure their paperwork is filled out correctly & then give them a racer wristband! For tech I check their helmets & fire suits and make sure theyโre to code.. then after me they get their race vehicle checked.
The next day or sometimes two is race day!!! Some races are split up (like this weekend is only bikes/UTVs, in two weekends itโs trucks) - others are ALL of the race vehicles which include things like: dirt bikes, quads, UTVs, trophy trucks etc etc! Depending on the race I have different jobs.. but most of the time Iโm at the start line making sure all the riders/racers have wrist bands and double checking everything! At other races Iโm at the finish line handing out cold waters and finisher pins!
The organization I help with is Best In The Desert & you can look them up on IG to see more about the races if youโre interested!
Ask any questions if you have any:)
