My weeks in Phuket got me completely and utterly hooked on matcha lattes and I feel I've identified a very happy style for my paintings. Of course, I experiment constantly with new colors and I'm always making a childlike mess...and still, I don't know if you can see it yet though I can. I can see or feel my gravity pulling me into this new look of the florescent rainbow sunset over the dark blue ocean, smeared on with the palette knife, fire on the horizon, fish and silver bubbles under the sea. I keep repeating myself and I guess that's what happens when you're in a groove. It's a movement over and over, a rhythm forward. I am in love with this collection of Phuket born paintings. You guys are fighting over them now. It's beautiful. They were born from deep rest within myself and restoring my healthiest daily routines. Let this be a reminder for you to do the same. Serve yourself first. Care for your body. Love the time you have to yourself and use it for whatever brings you joy. From there, see what blossoms. Keep it simple. Clear away all that drains you. Do not endure anything when instead you can be the creator of something new. Decide in your mind to make space and then inhabit that space, embody it, delight in it. The freedom you desire is inside yourself. Tapped into this, your power to create beauty flows naturally. This is what happened to me. You watched it with your own eyes.
