I went from that to an 80 watt Traynor, though it took some years to get there. I played a couple gigs with that Crate mic'd up, though I'm sure I soundes terrible. I bought one recently to try it out again and it's not quite as bad as I remember.

That's funny, I leveled up to the 30 watt crate also, and I still couldn't keep up with a drummer 😂 I remember begging my parents for a better amp, and I got *slightly* better lol.

That first rig - so similar to mine. I did have the Squier strat (thank you Guitar Center sale) and the next level up Crate amp (30 watts and a 12" speaker). I had the MetalX pedal from DOD instead of the Grunge, but really a very similar vibe. Similar on the maple fretboard. I really wanted the rosewood (and also missed that on my second guitar, an Ibanez RG). But yeah. Fun stuff all the same.
