Weekly update - April 11th

Should be a short one this week. Steady progress on chapter 8. I've now completed the first 3 scenes and currently working concurrently on the next 3. That's kind of how the flow of this chapter goes. 8 has a lot of new locations to it, which slows down the development a little as it takes me a little time to think about and prepare a scene.
Chapter 8 as I mentioned in the past takes the pair through their summer hols and into year 2 of their studies. I'm thinking at this point to have part one will be the summer with part 2 starting when they return to Finch Green. That may not be a perfect split in terms of length but it probably makes most sense in terms of the storyline. I'll keep you all posted on when to expect part 1 but I'm not quite there yet in terms of being able to provide a timeline.
Outside of development. I have to go through the same processes for Steam approvals for the demo as I did for the full game. The store page has been approved but I'm still waiting on them to approve the build. Hopefully in a few days I'll get the green light from them to add the demo.
I contacted Good Old Games about a month ago to get the game put up on their platform. I filled in their questionnaire and have not heard from them. I chased them up and they responded with a pretty generic response but did confirm that they have received my request. I will let you know if there is any update on that when I receive it.
I really value your feedback and happy to listen to both the good and bad, to help improve the product. I am planning on a phase where I do a full review and improve on/add scenes post the final chapter completion. So if you do have anything you really think would add to the experience please let me know and I'll look to see if I can address it in the post phase.

Question. I still have version 5.1, which to be honest, I have not played thru yet. I know that there is a Version/Ch.6 & Ch.6 "patched"; now Ch.7 (I also saw a version 5.2) ??? Not counting Ch. 7, exactly how far behind am I?

I was just playing and 'skipping' thru the 1st Chapter (in search of Emma's default name, for my previous comment), and I saw something during the Bar hang out "good-bye to friends' scene,... and had an intriguing thought,... why not have Jen transfer to Finch Green (for whatever reason)? IDK why their relationship ended, I don't think You ever went into it. But maybe now that "Jon" is "Emma" it might work. (Maybe Jen discovered she is Gay or Bi and only into Girls???
