Weekly update - July 4th

Happy Independence Day for our American friends, enjoy that nice long weekend.
As you know, I've been in the middle of moving houses as I formally separate from my wife. This has obviously impacted on my ability to develop the game. I am mostly done with my move but I will obviously be helping get my wife and our children settled in their new home. That move is taking place over the next few weeks. After which things should be back to normal in terms of my commitment to building out the game.
Things haven't come to a complete standstill however. Since the teaser was released I have rendered out fully three more scenes and been able to formulate a flow for the rest of the chapter.
Chapter 9 as I mentioned before is the last major chapter of the game, I want to make sure I get it right, so it may take a little longer to develop than previous chapters.
The Steam Summer sale is still running, Best Friends remains on sale until July 10th.
I've not had time yet to get the teaser uploaded to Itch. I have to change a lot of things over there in order to facilitate that. I will get to it though soon. Just a reminder that the next Itch version will work in the same way as Steam where by it will update with all future releases, for no additional charge.

As an American friend, I appreciate your kind words about our national holiday. It is a sad day for me, as a bill that will hasten the demise/reduced benefits with our Social Security system was passed and will be signed into law today. Helping your soon ex-wife and children with their move is an honorable thing to do.

All my divorced friends have ended up happier in the long run, just takes time. Hope you’re doing well. It does make me sad that when we finally get action between the two main characters, that it’s the last chapter.
