There is method in my madness here. What you are witnessing with the two main protags is an immaturity in their outlook, a lack of gender/sexual awareness. We need to remember they are only 18 years old, they also may say things to their friend that perhaps they don't truly feel because male born humans growing up in a predominantly hetrosexual society are expected to act in a certain way. It's only when we grow up, become aware that we get strong enough to challenge that.

I just finished Ch.3. Not surprised by Mom's reaction, as per her disapproving comments of MC's need for a hair cut. 2 things kinda bother me about Ch3. How everyone, mostly Molly, are pushing for a relationship (More than "besties"), and the anti-gay POV from Micheal & MC (having c*ck = gay). Rude & so wrong! The Only Plus side to this is I would prefer for Micheal & MC NOT to have a romantic/sexual relationship, but I get the feeling That will be unavoidable. I Like/Love Claire. (I would love to be her boytoy. top or bottom)
