From curses that cause one's tongue to grow out of control and become a hideous creature with a mind of it's own, or ones that change and contort you into a violent creature of the night. Curses come in all shapes and sizes, effecting people, objects, or locations, and lingering for all time... Cursed objects are nothing new, having existed since the dawn of curse magic. However as time marches forward and as mankind develops new creations, magic too evolves and changes with the times. One of the most infamous modern cursed objects is that of the cursed video game. Often found in the trash, garage sales, street corners, or mysteriously in someone's attic, these devices are often times objects of affection or ire for their owner, or selected deliberately, and thus said object may fall victim to a curse. Be it from a spellcaster or some higher power, or perhaps even from imprinted psychic trauma, a game may harbor ill intent for whomever plays it, or even just for the owner. This can manifest in different ways, but most often it does so by causing the game to behave strangely when played. Music may not play properly, Graphics may change, dialogue alters, and the curse manifests. Some are malignant, containing a spirit or psychic entity that can interact with the user through the interactivity of the game, granting it a gateway to manipulate the world, and some are trapped or simply releasing these violent energies upon those in possession of it. In many situations, the curse or cursed entity within the game can fully manifest, but often only when specific conditions are met. These conditions could be to play the game for so long, make it to a certain level, beat the game under a certain prerequisite, or even simply playing the game. This could lead to the ghost of a child haunting your dreams, an all consuming madness warping your perception, or even manifesting fully into some sort of projected entity that attacks the player physically. Electronics are believed to be a conduit for spiritual or psychic entities because of the electromagnetism shared between spirits, and certain types of magic, making computers, websites, and games particularly susceptible to spiritual intervention. Removing a curse from an object is difficult and sometimes impossible depending on the curse, and in some cases the curse could spread even further, setting into the source code of the game and spreading if the now cursed files or hardware are shared anywhere. It is believed that many forms of Poltergeist may originate from a simple object possession, which can grow deadly depending on the state of the power that afflicts it
