Update for future plans
🕑 Added 2020-12-05 06:44:27 +0000 UTCHey all, first I offer an apology to those waiting for an update - I have some plans in mind for compensation of lost time, though these are going to be done at two points for next year.
While working on the Resident Evil category, I encountered significant difficulty and disappointment with the results quite a few times. I've felt the annoying pit in my stomach for it and I think it's just not within my ability to complete.
In exchange, what I'm planning is to provide the art I've done since then as well as hold two paused months but with maintained content anyway. I think this is a semi-fair way to compensate the gaps and actually some of my better works have been produced outside of RE in the past month or so.
For the future, I'm not sure when RE will actually be returning to the canvas, perhaps when I'm more confident and capable to produce looks not only I'm happy with but satisfy the art directions of the originals.
I understand if it's not enough for some, but I'm thankful to those it will be and whatever happens I'm still going to be drawing, so that's what I had in mind for the situation here.

Plus, I can just tell you've been having fun with these pieces. And that affects the quality of the work, and the enjoyment of the audience. I'd rather support you to do stuff you enjoy than pressure you into doing what we expect. The pleasure in the recent works is palpable and that's what I'm here for.

Dude, the work you've been putting out on the Discord channel has been top-notch. Watching you refine the process for those pieces, the economy of movement and intelligent color decisions for every one of them, has been breathtaking. And I've really enjoyed having something new to look forward to so frequently.

More RE art by Typo would have been great as it is one of my favorite video game franchises, but I will be happy with more Typo art in general, even if it is not RE. You blessed us with a lot of amazing pieces (and I in particular with a lot of art of Asuka and Ryuko), and I'm looking forward to future art based on where inspiration leads you!
Sometimes it just refuses to click no matter how much you try. Better not to force it and get back to it another time if you feel the inspiration!

While I was one that was super excited about more Jill and maybe some Claire from you, I totally agree that inspiration and satisfaction is important and crucial to being an artist. While you may lose some people, I just wanted to chime in and say that I am here because I love your art, period. When it lines up with stuff I like, I’m thrilled. But I always love seeing what you do. Keep doing you, man, and I hope you know that there are those of us that just want to see what you do, and want to see you be happy with it and grow as an artist.
