Dgrezrhg-of-Arzrgreer checked his inbox again. He looked around the lobby tentatively, before making his way across, opening the door and sticking his head inside inquisitively. The portal to room 6 slid open and shut as quietly as all the others, and inside he found what appeared to be some form of examination room. There was a large, flat slab attached to the wall, and a bench-like seat across from it which he quickly availed himself of. Looking around, he realized there was a stunning lack of what might be considered “examination equipment”, though he did notice what might be a camera set into one of the corners of the room, near the ceiling.
His thoughts were cut short by the sound of footsteps clacking against the hard floor of the hall outside. They sounded something like Dorarizin - or maybe Karnakian claws, but there were only four distinct sources, where there should be at least twice that. It also took them longer than he had expected to reach his room, and he had just pieced it together that these must be humans when the door opened, and he laid his eyes on the most curious pair he’d ever seen.
They looked alike, like members of the same litter, but one had skin much darker than the others’, who in turn was almost as pale as the walls were white. Her unblemished complexion was framed by a head of long, black hair which hung from the back of her head in what he’d been told was called a ponytail. Her apparent sister’s hair was tied up in a bun, and was straw-like in its coloration, though as the door closed behind them she was already beginning to let it down.
The black-haired one was first to speak, holding an oversized PDA in her hands as she glanced at it. “[Mister . . . [Dgrezrhg], yes?]”
Dgrezrhg simply nodded slowly. As she looked up again, he noticed how ... curious her eyes were. One was blue, and the other green. As her sister stepped forward, he realized that hers were the same way, but reversed. “Mind if we just called you ‘Dizzy’?” She asked as she began to circle around him slowly, clearly inspecting him. He nodded again stupidly, not really paying attention to her words as he was distracted by how much of her he could see through her jumpsuit. A white coat tried to cover her broad, heavy chest, but could barely fit around it, let alone over it. The pale one spoke up again, “I am Isabella, and this is Gabriella. We understand that you are presently ‘in rut, and we would appreciate it if you would aid us in our research efforts.”
Gabriella spoke up again almost as soon as Isabella was finished, adding, “If you’d like, you can call us Gabbie and Izzie, Dizzy.” Her tone was light, playful - hardly the kind of tone he’d expect of a scientist. “He’s cute,” Izzie added as she set down the tablet on the slab extending from the wall.
