I have no idea, I suppouse with better resolution, images will have more detail, however, they will take up more storage space and may be more expensive to create with the program, so it's best to find a balance

Yeah 2048x2048 would be better but for some reason novelAI don't upscale to it

I have a 2k monitor (2560x1440), so 1536x1536 should look pretty good on my machine. Not sure how it would look on 4k monitors. 4096x4096 is 16 times the size of 1024x1024, the file sizes might get a bit big -- maybe a middle ground option, like 2048x2048?
