Nah, they’re saying this IS real life. The writers are sarcastically showing us how our political climate actually operates—where extreme bullshit is allowed to slide openly, while people exercising their most basic human rights get demonized. (Think Trump's bitch ass and others in power facing sexual assault/trafficking cases, yet still pushing laws that strip away abortion rights.) Yeah, the writers push the envelope, but that’s the whole point. The series is built on symbolism, using superheroes as stand-ins for politicians/deep-pocket individuals—untouchable, idolized, and above accountability—while normal people are portrayed as inferior.

Yeah I was gonna say ummm does he not know who our president is? Lmaoo like there are multiple sexual allegations on him and some people in this world clearly did not care. So some of it definitely does apply to real life scenarios with some of the stuff that is going on today.

I think this show makes it kinda hard NOT to compare it to real life at this point. I mean Trump said way back in 2016 that “I could shoot someone and I wouldn’t lose any votes”. Not mentioning this to have any political debate but the show is clearly adding to that idea.
