Two stories end today, âRĂ©miâs Weekendâ and âMathurin.â Iâll leave the former for next week, so letâs review the French story this week!
The final Mathurin chapter is online. If you canât read French, maybe itâs of little importance to you, but I hope one day you can read it (funding a translation project is always an option!). Itâs the first male bondage story I ever wrote, when I had a lot of spare time and I discovered fetish erotica. As I couldnât find many stories that matched my peculiar tastes, I started writing my own smut.
Itâs amazing to realize it was written almost a quarter of a century ago. I even had a prologue, which I didnât post. The story started with the same characters in another timeline, but it was complicated and unnecessary.
When I picked up the story three years ago to keep it going and complete it, I had the first 24 or 25 chapters written down. The last decade of practice from writing other stories paid off, and finishing the second half was less painstaking than the first one.
One thing I got from picking up the old stories in French ââPhilippeâ was also started a while backâ was to edit for simplicity. Adverbs, which I loved back then, proved to make reading less fluid, so I removed them.
I also had to hone my editing skills. Nicholas has been editing my stories for over a decade, which helped train my eyes to spot repetition and needless complexity. Still, flaws remain, but I must move on to other projects before perfecting these old works!
Writing âMathurinâ made me zero in on the stories I wanted: cute characters with clear sexual leanings, including a taste for bondage (as switches in this story), and shiny clothes.
Mathurin got me hooked to writing bondage smut, and here we are many years later!

Câest la premiĂšre histoire de ligotage que jâai Ă©crite, Ă un moment oĂč jâavais du temps et les premiers accĂšs Internet, qui mâavaient permis dâexplorer de la littĂ©rature fĂ©tichiste. Peu dâhistoires correspondaient Ă mes goĂ»ts trĂšs spĂ©ciaux, jâai dĂ©cidĂ© de coucher sur le papier mes propres rĂ©cits cochons.
Je me rends compte que ça fait prĂšs dâun quart de siĂšcle que jâinterviens par Ă -coups sur cette histoire. Il y a mĂȘme eu un prologue, que jâai finalement retirĂ©. Lâhistoire commençait plusieurs annĂ©es aprĂšs, avec une intrigue secondaire qui aurait pu sâintercaler dans lâhistoire existante. Cela rajoutait de la complexitĂ© et pas forcĂ©ment de plaisir de lecture.
Quand jâai repris lâhistoire pour la boucler il y a trois ans, il y avait 24 ou 25 des chapitres actuels. Une dĂ©cennie de production plus intensive a dĂ©veloppĂ© des habitudes et conclure le rĂ©cit a Ă©tĂ© moins difficile que de le commencer.
Reprendre les histoires en français (âPhilippeâ est aussi une histoire commencĂ©e il y a longtemps) mâa obligĂ© Ă simplifier le texte. Mon usage passionnĂ© des adverbes alourdissait la lecture, et jâen ai Ă©liminĂ© quelques-uns !
Jâai dĂ» affiner mes compĂ©tences dâĂ©diteur ; une dĂ©cennie de retours de Nicolas a quand mĂȘme formatĂ© mon regard pour repĂ©rer les rĂ©pĂ©titions et les formulations trop ampoulĂ©es. Il reste cependant des lourdeurs ou des erreurs, mais mes inclinations me poussent Ă passer Ă autre chose.
DĂšs Mathurin, je savais ce que je voulais dans une histoire : de jolis garçons sans souci dâidentitĂ© et sans complexes, aimant tous le ligotage (en aimant ĂȘtre des deux cĂŽtĂ©s des cordes pour cette histoire) et des vĂȘtements ajustĂ©s et brillants.
Mathurin mâa fait mettre le doigt dans lâengrenage des histoires de ligotage, et jây suis encore bien longtemps aprĂšs !
