I stumbled on Family Rules looking around for decent Futa that isn't just rapid fire 2 second loops...had to follow the trail here to get more of your content. Exploring your creative talent with direction on improvement of your craft is important so the crate inventor in me says do what makes you happiest, but on tbe opposite side of the same coin acknowledging the cration/content that allows you to continue your interest is equally important. Si ill throw out there that your Family Rules story is what led me here. And just because your working on things doesn't mean the stories can't intertwine or cross over to each other creating a bigger world/universe. I.e. someone might be more interested in the story aspect yet not be interested or appreciate the time, effort and detail that goes into even a 40 second clip with smooth animation, camera angles, set/wardrobe, lighting and sound. IMHO intertwining stories or cameos...yet having them as seperate stand alones might cultivate fans. I can't speak for everyone...but I know quiet a few women that read or listen to "romance" novels. I know a few will only watch visual content if the story is good (probably why the go ahead was given to make a sequel to Pirates II to the tune of $8M...because the story in the first increased consumption from the fairer gender). I'm digging what your creating...but F'R' bright me here to support. I can't put my finger on the exact "thing" in it that stopped my futa content surfing and held my attention. But it's a recipe I'm sure other man agree with...so keep up with the secret sauce.
