Full Of It #266 - Scary Movie
🕑 Added 2023-10-14 23:00:46 +0000 UTCScary Movie is an American horror parody franchise that sat at the pinnacle of humour and culture for teenagers around the world in the early 2000s. Led for the first 4 movies by stunning performances from Anna Faris and Regina Hall, who were strangely overlooked by The Academy, each film in the franchise would spoof popular horror properties. I'll obviously talk about the 4th and 5th but we can pretend they don't exist. Even the 3rd one is a bit of a dog but it opens up an interesting conversation about why parody films are so hard to nail.

My all time fave quote from Scary Movie is from Brenda at the beginning of the film I think, is “I look over and there’s your girl getting buck wild in the jacuzzi, with a back up dancer! I mean that’s lower than a security guard! At least he can get you back stage! She don’t love herself. She is a fake as press on nails - HEY BABY GIRL” 😂😂😂😂 close second would be “y’all better get outta my face! Outta my face, outta my face! It’s all me up in here! 😅😅😅😅 iconic

Great pod as always. I think I need to give the Scary Movies another chance! I never got into them as a teen because I stupidly watched the first one with my family not knowing what it was gonna be like! I have never wanted to sink into the floor more than having to sit through someone being shot onto the ceiling by cum whilst sat next to my parents😵😂. I turned so red I practically glowed in the dark.
