Thank you, Lympi: this was great! ;-) A sure-fire tip for contacts. When inserting the left one, look as far as you can to the right & place the lens on the now-exposed white of your eye: this helps because you can't see (& flinch away from) your approaching finger. When you look to the centre, the lens will move into the correct position.
