August 2024 monthly report. Size matters :*(
🕑 Added 2024-09-12 18:17:33 +0000 UTCHey everyone, mokujin back here with the monthly report, a little late as always but by now you may figured out, but I usually take the first week of each month as a free week to relax a bit, solve manage daily personal things and to avoid burnt out. I should've done this post this past Monday but I don't wanna come here with empty hands so I worked a bit more first before posting.
There's more model updates an releases planned for this month but first I must do some house cleaning.
I ran out of space on my model storage drive and also on my render/animation storage drive.
I need to delete some stuff and also get a new drive. THANKFULLY I prevented this one month before hand and got myself a new SSD drive. A 2TB Samsung SSD 870 EVO, hopefully that will be enough to buy me some time until my next needed update, a direct investment from the patreon funds to keep this page going so thank you for making it possible. Now I can continue to work with these models and animations without constantly keeping track of stuff I need to delete or sacrifice while I keep working on my projects.
August Animations
Scrap project - Unnamed Xiaoyu DP scenes
August models updates + renders
Tifa model update (custom outfits renders)
Tifa model previews (official outfits renders)
August new model release:
Current ongoing projects status.
Animations
Rise's valentines progress: Intro concept changed a bit but will be very basic. No issues so far after solving the models rig updates problems. Translated the project to work with Blender 4.1 over working with 3.6 as the updates were just too necessary at this point.
Takemi tests animation: same status as last month. Will also be worked on Blender 4.1 from here on.
Sae Niijima loop still animating with new audio. Working now on Blender 4.1 as well.
Ann x Foreigner have one loop done needs audio.
Asuka langley simple loop animation on the works, status: base poses done, shading scene.
Tifa new model animation status: Posed, not animated yet
Two old Harley animation done in 2023: editing audio
Models releases to come:
Nina Williams, rigging base body and adding, correcting shapes considering just releasing the base nude model first and update the model as I add new outfits.
Xiaoyu model will follow the same method
Finished Barret quick update to work with Blender 4.1 and new mustardUI add-on method. Release soon.
Updating Lili model (T8) to add new outfits from Tekken shop updates. (white dress and a new Bikini)
To update Asuka Kazama (T8) to add new outfits from Tekken shop updates. (Classic outfit)
Tifa model updates coming, divided the OG outfits and custom outfits into two different blend files for anyone interested in the extras. Will upload soon.
Aerith model will be continue to be worked after Tifa's update
2B headhack on hold as I finish those above
Black cat model for render: Needs conversion to my usual rig system (ARP) to start testing, will release it as a patreon exclusive model (only one outfit): will resume work on it after Tifa update release
Started projects to update Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth models similarly to the Tifa and Aerith update.
Need to udpate Asuka langley textures
Asian male on hold as I finish some of the projects above.
Most male models updated to match the genitals rig style of my Clone troopers models will release them this month (the updates) (Need to fix an issue with the clone troopers in an update, root gen control bone incorrectly hides using the UI prompt/minor issue).
Harley model pack, updates on hold until I finish the models above
Shepard male model, thinking of commissioning a DAZ model maker to port the MELE model for me to facilitate my workflow.
Aerith's Park scene map (on development), need to fix shaders, queued behind the projects mentioned above.
Yukari model, ported to blender, will start updating and fixing textures and outfits for the Yukari x Yuki project.
Side personal projects:
Ada Wong Custom model (Not started Yet) (Side project on hold until main ones are completed)
Leon Kennedy custom model (loaded, head-hacking but queued bellow main projects)
Scarlet (FFVII) (Side project on hold until main ones are completed)
Storm troopers (Not started Yet) (Considering just adding storm trooper outfits to my male pack models??)
Kyrie Canaan (Not started Yet) (Side project on hold until main ones are completed
Still updating more persona models for using in blender 4.1
For clarity's sake, here's the "priority order" for my current ongoing projects.
Model Releases and Updates!
(Barret update will be released after this post)
1- Update Lili model (add new outfits)
2 - Finish updating Harley Quinn's Arkham pack (one model left to udpate, adding correctives and rig update is all) along some already almost fully updated FFVII Remake npcs models updates.
3 - Update Tifa model (release two versions)
4 - Release Nina Williams (T8) basic finished model
5 - Update Asuka Kazama (T8) new outfit
6 - Continue Xiaoyu model (T8)
7 - Finish Blackcat model and release it
8 - Updating Asuka Langley's model textures AND add facial expressions.
9 - Finish Aerith update (in the end I'll just add two Ever Crisis outfits as the others are not as "alluring" to me)
10 - Finish Yukari well enough to do the loop animation.
11 - Continue 2B headhack project
12 - Work with Zack and Cloud new models as I work with the main projects (non priority but I intent to have it on the back every now and then when I can)
13 - Continue side model projects mentioned above after I finish at least 10 of these.
Animation projects priority workflow
1 - Rise's valentines: finish new intro, correct and synchronize dialog for final scene
2 - Takemi's test, start animating dialogue scenes first (lip-sync) thinking of re-targeting Takemi's actual game animations into my model to speed things up a bit.
3 - Finish Ashley's intro scene for the upcoming Ashley vs Ganado, one loop scene, needs intro and a second loop scene before animation release (meant for complete materia).
4 - Finish lip syncing and adding physics to Sae's loop
5 - Animate Tifa quick loop on the side of other projects.
6 - Animate Asuka Langley's loop on the side of other projects.
6 - Finish Ann x Foreigners animation loops
7 - Continue Haru x Ren date beach animation after the ones above are finished
8 - Start crooked director (Ann x Joker and Ryuji) animation after the ones above are done)
9 - Remake Lili in the desert animation with their Tekken 8 models? (will make a post about it).
10 - Properly start Yukari and Makoto Yuki animation with new models (poses done with older model, can easily translate to new ones when it's done)
11 - Start over Star Wars Animation with Padme x Clones
By the way, I have commissioned AND the got delivered the voice over audio for ALL of the 10 animation projects I've mentioned above (except for the Yukari one yet), so I HAVE TO FINISH THEM, otherwise I would've paid for the audio of all these projects for nothing (over 600$ worth in audio commissions estimated for all these), so you can rest easy I 100% intent on finish these.
I don't really have any screenshot to share in this month report as I want to release them in individual post updates and previews since some of these projects are too big to contain in this "global" post. Also I do plan to start recording a workflow tutorial during some of my ongoing animation projects.
Also, a reminder I do all this projects all by myself, so thank you so much for you support, it's the reason I keep working on all this.

Oh, I'm glad to see Aerith has plans for an update too. The current version of her breasts adjustment is handled through the menu, and even in 1.0, it's still too small. I wish there were more adjustable sizes, like Tifa's model.

I kinda aim to do something like that so it's helpful feedback to hear someone say they're interested :)
Or Not
You're probably not looking for any input here, but I personally wouldn't mind just the base Nina model as an early release if it means getting it a bit sooner (maybe if a pair of her high heels were included that would be cool too..)
