OP Sister Chapter 467: Gram
🕑 Added 2025-06-12 19:05:03 +0000 UTC-----
Suddenly, I heard a very…
[“Well, looks like you’ve become really strong while I was taking a nap, eh, brat?”]
A very familiar voice!
“G-Gram? GRAM!”
I quickly unsheathed his blade, which was still attached to my waist, and then I saw him floating out of my hands.
“You can float now?!”
[“I can do plenty of new things! I feel refreshed! Just what the hell happened?”]
“Y-You don’t remember?! You went to sleep for months, and then I finally fed you a dragon—Lucifer’s dragon form… I was afraid it wouldn’t work, but it did! You don’t feel hungry, right?”
[“I feel like I ate enough food to feed a whole battalion of Valkyries for an entire year… I won’t need any food for a long while, so don’t worry about it anymore.”]
“Yaaay!”
I tried to hug him, but he attempted to stop me. Two large hands made of darkness and light emerged from his aura, pushing me back.
“Eek! L-Let me hug you!”
[“You seriously want to hug a huge, sharp blade?! Are you out of your mind?”]
“Just let me do it!”
[“N-No!!!”]
He was very embarrassed about being hugged; he was the same as always, I guess!
“Hmm, what an annoying little blade you are… Maybe I should’ve replaced you with another of my swords in the end?”
[“Don’t say that! And don’t think I haven’t noticed just how many new ones you’ve got! You’re cheating on me with all these cheaply made amateur blades! I can’t believe this!”]
“Hey, I’ve got more than two hands, you know?”
As I said that, I showed him all the hands in my Aura.
[“Oh yeah? And where’s your right arm then? There’s literally nothing there!”]
“Ah, yeah, this… it doesn’t matter.”
[“It sure does! Your brother is going to literally die if he sees you like that, you know?!”]
“Oh… I hadn’t thought about what Jack would say, but you might be right…”
[“Told ya! What are you even doing about that?!”]
“Umm… I think Zero One is going to solve that problem. She’s preparing a ‘gift,’ so let’s trust her.”
[“Zero… what? Who the hell is that?”]
“Ah, right… I guess you missed out on the entire freaking arc, huh? You sure love napping! I’m not even bothering to explain things to you—just figure them out on your own.”
[“W-What?! Hey! Anna! Where do you think you’re going— Wow, this palace is huge! Where are we even? Is this a Constellation’s home? Wait, Anna!”]
He had become even more talkative than before—and annoying.
But…
I couldn’t help but smile as he followed me around.
He had his annoying, manly voice and all of that… Maybe most people would hate to have him around.
But I was kind of happy. I like companions who can talk to me, who I can tell all my secrets to.
I’ve always loved that trope in novels, even though a lot of readers hate them too.
And Gram is only one of them…
“Aaah… What time is it? Anna? Huh? Wait, what happened… What happened to the big battle?!”
A little golden and blue-colored metallic centipede emerged, coiling around my neck and looking at me with her giant red eyes.
“Good morning, Sepa… Everything’s pretty much over… We won… although at a pretty high cost too.”
“…I know. Well, I’m glad things are over… You feel much stronger too. Did you finally get your classes?”
“Yeah… Is Bastet over there?”
“She’s napping. She’s a cat, remember? She sleeps even more than I do… I hope she wakes up before we leave— Wait a second! Is that Gram?!”
[“So it seems the centipede has become stronger as well. What is this aura? It’s as if her constellation powers were back completely…”]
“A lot happened, as I said… Sepa and I are more united than ever before, right?”
“Uuuh, not by choice, though.”
“What?! It was by choice! Don’t be like that now…! I even saved your girlfriend Bastet and all.”
“B-Bastet is my friend, not a girlfriend!”
“Aha, sure.”
I shrugged as I walked to the living room, and finally, I saw some people.
There was also the smell of delicious food being served—a big table full of traditional Chinese dishes, alongside some that seemed Japanese and Korean, or well, Asian in general.
Murims weren’t limited to just Chinese aesthetics and legends, after all. At least in the original novel, there were some Murims that resembled Ancient Japan and its mythos, or Korea, or even Indian mythology and more.
Sometimes, a fusion of everything was the norm, though those Murim Worlds like Zipangu were really awesome. They were worlds with Yokai, Oni, Kami, Samurai, Ninja, and Shrine Maidens. I always wished Jack had explored them in more detail when I read the novel.
…But that doesn’t really matter right now.
“A-Anna? Anna!”
The first person I saw was my adorable mother, who quickly smiled, running to my side to hug me tightly once she saw me.
I felt her big yet slender and delicate arms pull me toward her chest, as my face bounced against her large, fluffy chest.
It was bouncy and warm… I could take a nap like this, honestly.
“I’m glad you’re awake and fine… I was so worried…” she cried. “How are you feeling, dear?”
She gently started grooming my hair with her beak, untying my messy hair while letting out cute bird-like sounds. This was how bird people of this world showed affection, as they couldn’t exactly kiss with beaks.
“Heheh, I’m fine… that tickles!”
“Hmm~ I’m just taking care of this messy hair of yours… but it’s quite beautiful as always.”
She caressed my head again, then rubbed her face against mine, and I took the opportunity to kiss her beak.
“Mooch! I love you, Mom!”
And I hugged her again, without any hesitation.
Now that I only had 24 hours, I had to make sure I wouldn’t waste them.
“A-Anna…” she muttered, embarrassed. “I love you too… What’s wrong?”
“…I’m sorry.”
“Hmm? Why? We won… the world is finally saved. There’s… many things we need to do, and… beloved people we must mourn too, but… Let’s try to see the bright side of things and…”
“I’ll be leaving in… 24 hours… I can’t stay anymore.”
“…Eh?”
