The sphere rushed downward, plummeting toward the blue temple before being abruptly halted by a powerful formation. Divine power surged from the entire Divine Realm, creating a resounding impact.
BOOOMMM!!!
“Hmm? Interesting.”
A massive barrier enveloped the entire palace, withstanding my attack. As I suspected, it wouldn’t be easy to breach.
“There’s a defensive formation!” Icebloom exclaimed. “Bing Xue, I don’t think you can break through quickly. We should plan something or find another way first. It’s clear the Queen left this before falling into her eternal slumber to protect herself.”
“Oh? Icebloom, did you think that was all I could do?” I asked her.
“Eh?” Her large blue eyes widened as she saw me raise my hands.
“I can do so much more…”
I unleashed the power of my Divine Photon Essence, combining it with the [Cursed & Blessed Blazing Starlight Relic Creation] Skill. Beyond crafting relics, this skill could enhance and evolve my Photon Essence.
The result was a breathtaking fusion of starlight and cosmic nebula-like clouds, spreading around me to form a colossal nebula—no, a constellation.
This wasn’t merely an extension of my old techniques; it was a brand-new evolution. I incorporated the fundamentals of Magic itself—amplifying natural phenomena through runes and magic circles—to create something truly wondrous to behold.
“{Radiant Starlight Nebula}”
The nebula swirled, and dozens of the same Radiant Suns I had summoned earlier rained upon the formation, which drew power from the entire Divine Domain and the benefactor of that queen.
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
The barrier was formidable, but it rapidly weakened as I bombarded it with hundreds of attacks. It began to shatter and fragment, slowly succumbing to my relentless onslaught of techniques.
The air crackled with divine energy, the sheer force of my assault sending shockwaves through the temple grounds. The formation resisted, its intricate runes glowing with desperate intensity, but it was only a matter of time.
Until…
Crack, crack…!
CRAAASH!
The barrier shattered into glass-like shards, and a distortion in space emerged. Cracks spread everywhere, gravitational forces twisting and demolishing mountains and surrounding forests.
Then, from within the cracks, a monstrous roar echoed—a creature composed entirely of ice and millions of screaming souls.
“GRYSHAAAAHHHH!”
A wave of freezing energy surged outward, coating the landscape in a thick layer of frost. The temperature plummeted instantly, my breath turning to mist as the air itself seemed to crystallize.
[The [Spawn of the Eternal Coldness: Level ???] has emerged to protect her Anchor in this World!]
[Its presence distorts and freezes Space and Time! Gravitational forces pull toward it like a death trap—don’t let it touch you!]
“So, she sent some sort of Spawn, huh? And an Anchor? Now I have even more reasons to kill her!” I said with a grin, my excitement rising.
“W-WHAT IS THAT THING?!” Icebloom screamed, stumbling backward.
“AN ICE BEAST?! AAAGH!” Coldpincers panicked, his voice cracking.
Just looking at the creature seemed to affect their minds. Icebloom clutched her head, her expression twisted in discomfort, while Coldpincers shivered violently, his pincers twitching uncontrollably.
I, however, felt nothing but an irritating buzzing sound, which I swiftly suppressed until it vanished entirely.
“{Primordial Nine Heaven Protection}!”
FLAAASH!
I enveloped both of them in a protective barrier—a fusion of Nine Heaven Fragments, my Divine Photon Essence, and my own Aura. Within mere seconds, I formed a defensive Formation, one of my most frequently used techniques, ingrained within my very soul.
I noticed a Skill related to it—I might learn it later now that my Level had increased significantly…
“E-Eh? I’m fine now?” Icebloom gasped, blinking in surprise. “Aahh! That thing’s still there!”
“It’s devouring everything?!” Coldpincers shouted. “The forests and mountains are being consumed…! It has giant jaws too—what a bizarre creature!”
It was indeed strange—a massive maw lined with sharp fangs, dozens of long, spider-like legs, and a screaming mouth surrounded by several red eyes, all seemingly trapped in eternal agony.
The sheer presence of the beast warped reality around it. The sky darkened, the stars above flickering as if struggling to shine through the distortion. The ground beneath it cracked and crumbled, sucked into the void-like force emanating from its core.
“GRYYYYYEEEHHH!”
The monster let out another shriek, its claws creeping toward us. Then, suddenly, they lunged—attempting to seize our bodies and pierce us with countless sharp, icy blades.
Space and time began to freeze, slowing down. A strange force pulled at me, trying to paralyze me in place. But I swiftly unleashed my Void and Space Dao Auras, combining them with the River of Time Essence to move freely.
“What an amusing living being you are.”
I swung my hand, channeling my aura through my Heavenly Soul Blade Arts, and slashed through the monster’s icy limb in an instant.
SLAAASH!
Not once, but dozens of times in a single swing—cutting through the creature’s limb and slicing deeper into its body. A relentless domino effect of slashing attacks.
This was the result of merging my Soul Blade Arts with the simple S-Rank Skill: [Quadruple Slash], which multiplied the number of slashes.
The outcome, once fused with my other powers?
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Devastating.
“GRYYYAAAAHHH!”
BOOOM!
A massive explosion erupted from the monster’s body. The accumulated damage was severe—half of its icy form collapsed onto the ground, freezing everything in its wake.
The other half struggled to move, like a spider ensnared in its own web, unable to escape the frozen domain of space and time surrounding it.
Whatever this monstrosity was, it was more alien than anything we had encountered in the Tower.
And yet, it was fascinating.
“I’ll make sure to analyze your remains thoroughly—but for now, please get out of the way!”
I channeled my Heavenly Soul Blade Aura into both hands and swung them down repeatedly, slashing through the monster’s entire body while evading beams of freezing energy and miniature stars made of ice and plasma.
“{Heavenly Soul Blade Arts}: {Myriad Soul Assault}!”
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The beast had no chance to retaliate. I overwhelmed it from every conceivable angle until it finally collapsed entirely—exploding into fragments and vanishing along with the spatial crack from which it had emerged.
BOOOMMM!!!
