“My priestess… you’ve come to heal me again—huh?! What is this thing?!”
Argentia panicked as he saw a monstrous, black-colored spirit spreading through his body like goo, wrapping around his arms and legs and trying to take over.
“This is my Contracted Spirit, a Frenzied Dark Spirit, Argentia! It might look malevolent, but it has immense power. Let him possess you so you can have a fighting chance!”
“D-Damn it!”
FLAAASH!
“You…! I recognize you, monstrous fiend!”
While Alitheus went to heal her son and Argentia was out of commission, with Ermelinda and Gofumina distracted by several Golems surrounding them, Teressa was left alone confronting the monstrous, possessed Raid Boss.
Her Frost Aura grew endlessly, spreading cold air everywhere. She had weakened due to her stagnation, but after her son began to change her life, she resumed her training. After weeks of hard work, she had finally regained her true strength.
And it could be seen, very clearly!
“Ohhh? But if it isn’t the irresponsible Vampiress! You, who fell into eternal stagnation, gave way for my flames to burn your beautiful town asunder! I am really grateful to you! Especially for giving birth to him, my most wonderful flame!”
The Unending Crimson provoked Teressa, trying to hurt her feelings and make her hesitate as he attacked her incessantly with bombardments of blazing projectiles.
Giant spears made of red and orange crystals shot from his body, constantly trying to pierce and burn her.
However, Teressa was swift and precise, easily dodging the lethal projectiles while thrusting her spear, piercing them with a single strike to shatter them apart.
The flames erupting from each exploding projectile were mitigated by her incredibly cold Blood Frost Aura.
“You speak in wicked riddles, acting like you’re smart, like you think like us, but it’s clear to me you’re nothing but a monster who desires only destruction and the agony of innocents! For you, there is no empathy. There will be no time wasted trying to understand you either. For you, there is only one answer from me! Death!”
Teressa roared back, surprising the Outer Entity as her spear surged forward. Her Aura merged with it, suddenly extending its length tenfold, striking his body with incredible precision. An eruption of freezing icicles emerged as she pierced his crystalline form with a single blow.
CRAAASH!
“UGH?!”
BOOOM!
The Unending Crimson Vessel was sent flying, his flames mitigated as ice tried to grow and spread across his blazing body. Despite this struggle, he laughed.
“Heheh… Hahaha! Wonderful… I looked down on you without realizing just how bright a flame you were as well! Like mother, like son, as they say! Your power is surprising… You were not this strong back then.”
“I had indeed fallen into stagnation, but no more! Now, enough talk, monster! I will not reason with the likes of you!”
Teressa charged forward, her Aura transforming into a hydra made of ice and blood energy, hissing at the Vessel of the Unending Crimson. Several freezing bites reached him one by one.
He countered with blazing tentacles erupting from his body, trying to fend off the icy attacks as much as possible.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
“HAAAAH!”
“Hahahaha!”
While Teressa roared, the Unending Crimson only laughed. Though he wasn’t completely overpowering her, it seemed they were at a stalemate.
However, unlike him, Teressa had her limits, and slowly, she was being pushed back…
“For how long you plan to keep this up?! You’re strong, yes, but not enough!”
CLAAASH!
With a powerful swipe of his blazing tail, the Unending Crimson struck Teressa, shattering her ice armor and the ice guardians she had summoned, sending her flying while covered in deadly, cursed flames.
“Uuggh…!”
Teressa fell into the snow she had created, ice quickly growing over her body to extinguish the flames. She stood back up, her aura transforming into six enormous arms made of ice, each holding different frost weapons.
“I am not done yet…! I will show you why I was chosen by the Emperor…!”
Teressa bared her sharp vampiric fangs, her eyes turning deep red as her veins flared crimson. Something on her forehead glowed bright blue, empowering her further.
“{Frozen Blood Sentinel}!”
RUMBLE!
Her Frost Blood Aura erupted fully, the six arms behind her unifying into a giant of crimson ice. She rushed forward, thrusting her spear repeatedly, piercing through her foe’s defenses while her aura attacked with dozens of blows using various weapons.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
“HAAAAHHHH!”
“NNNGH?!”
The Unending Crimson felt a deep pain within his twisted, warped soul. The vessel he inhabited began to weaken, cracks appearing across it. Teressa’s power was freezing his very link with the Raid Boss.
“WONDERFUL…! BURN MORE! BURN! WE SHALL BURN TOGETHER, MY DARLING!”
However, he laughed, his flames erupting with even greater power as he burned his own Soul to empower himself. Teressa’s eyes widened as she saw a wave of flames approaching, spiraling like a tornado of infernal proportions around her foe.
TRUUUM!
“D-Damn it! How is this possible?!”
As Teressa struggled, being pushed further and further back…
Suddenly, she heard something.
“ROOOAAARRR!”
A mighty draconic roar!
“The dragon’s back?!”
“Oh? Now this is a surprise!”
It was Argentia, whom Teressa and the Unending Crimson both recognized at the same time. His body had transformed, his scales now pitch black with red streaks, his horns longer and demonic, and his eyes crimson red. His entire aura radiated shadows everywhere.
He nearly lost his mind but barely restrained himself from attacking Alitheus, his master and the one who had granted him this new power. He charged against the blazing avatar of the Unending Crimson, stopping him from reaching the rest of the group and killing Teressa.
CLAAASH!
His giant claws tore through the blazing crystals, pushing the Raid Boss away from Teressa and dispelling his blazing tornado as he rolled across the ground.
“How amazing, to think there’s someone who managed to tame and contract Dark Spirits…! Hahaha! Do you even know their true nature and what they are? Born from grief and resentment, they’re nothing but vessels of hatred and dark, impure desires! Perfect to be burned by my soul flames…!”
