In my head canon he's always reviewing in the mask.
That limbless torso is a replacement for the Powermaster that came with Buster. It's supposed to have a lower profile in engine mode so that it can be kept in place when you combine the two jets.
Is it at all cumbersome having to review and edit all your footage for reflections? If you were behind perspex with reflective tint, you would still have good vision and never have to worry. Happy new year Bobby!
