Though with David back that meant he had someone he could take his frustration out on. The walk seemed so much further than he thought it was. Apparently being away at college these last few months had really made the place feel different. Even though he grew up in here, the hallway just felt like it was getting longer while the rooms seemed to be getting larger. There were a few times he stopped thinking that he should have surely made it to the room but instead it was just a wall with another picture of his father flexing. When he finally made it to the room he stopped outside the door.
“Don’t you think you’re big enough?” Alex asked.

There was another brief silence between them. Even more so as he was almost to his senior year of college without even anyone to bring home. “I’ve been waiting for so long to get here.”
“Yeah?” Joe questioned. “Why’s that?”
“I’d hate to spoil the surprise. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you when you need to know. Oh! Have you met Alex?”
Alex held up his hand and gave a weak smile as he waved. “Hi…”
“This is your friend? Didn’t realize he’d be so good looking.”

David’s defensive stance turned a jovial as he said, “you think? I mean he’s the one who says there’s nothing about him that he wants to change.”
“I’d second that,” Joe added.
Alex jumped up from the couch in the bedroom and tried pummeling David. There was clearly no damage as his tiny fists would have felt near weightless against David’s strong body. Joe followed behind David as he felt the light tap on his shoulder. He was starting to wonder what his brother was talking about. Alex seemed to know, but he was too nervous as whenever he thought of saying something, it was just another stupid one liner. Something about the way Alex seemed to look at him had him wondering if he knew what was going on. Though, he kept his silence feeling another one liner trying to slip past his lips.
They entered the kitchen. His dad and Mark were running around still getting everything set up. Alex’s face seemed to blush as he watched the two muscular men running around in barely anything. Joe wanted to ask Alex what kind of protein shake David could have possibly been making him. The wait for David to get back was long and awkward.
“Sorry it took so long. Figured I’d give it a little bit of extra juice,” David smiled as he gave the drink to Joe. He slid his phone back into his pocket. Alex gave him a punch to the arm again but it still didn’t faze the giant in the slightest.
“Thanks…” Joe replied. He tried to take a light sip, but tasting the salty sweet chocolate and something else he just couldn’t do anything other than chug it down. His mind kept screaming at what he was doing but at the same time he couldn’t stop. He didn’t want to stop. It tasted so good.
