It didn’t take long for Mr. Barson to have us coming back out there. It seemed like it was almost a weekly thing. Jason was just happy for the business. Just having a consistent customer who didn’t complain was enough to make any boss happy. It made his job so much easier.
We pulled up to the house just like usual and knocked on the door. It was only supposed to be a spot removal but knowing him there could have always been more. Jason practically gave us the entire day to do it so I figured the spot may have been a bit bigger than the usual ones we did.
The door opened and Mr. Barson appeared in the doorway. “Hey guys,” his happy demeanor could brighten just about anyone’s day. “Sorry bout calling you back so soon. Figured I’d be okay with it… But the more I look at the spots the more I just want them cleaned up.”
“Nah… It’s not a problem. That’s kind of our job. If we weren’t cleaning your house we’d be cleaning someone else’s,” I joked back.

There were several large gray spots on the carpets around the couch and the walls. “So what are they? Beer?” I leaned down trying to sniff one of them.
“No…” Mr. Barson muttered.
“What like white wine? Or is it salsa?”
“No…” Mr. Barson almost looked a little embarrassed. “It’s uhh… Cum…”

“Thanks,” I smiled. “We’ll go get the small portable and be right back.” Dan and I walked outside to the van. “Damn it was getting hot in there…”
“I’m glad you said something,” Dan added. He grabbed one of the enzymes and the hoses for the small portable. “I'm already sweating…”
“Yeah hopefully he gets it fixed… It’s going to be hell if he can’t…” I muttered carrying the small portable inside. We headed to the kitchen to start filling up the tank with water.
“Bad news guys…” Mr. Barson paused for dramatic effect. “A/C’s busted…” He was already sweating too. His shirt tightened against his chest and when he turned around it was dripping down his back. The big guy easily radiated heat. It was probably that much more unbearable for him. “But I’ll try to find some fans or something so at least the air is moving. But I can’t do much more…”
“It’s alright…” Dan tried to keep his eyes off of Mr. Barson’s chest. Sweat was already coating his shirt and sticking to his massive pecs.
“It’s not…” he said back. “It’s a terrible condition to work in. But if you guys need water or anything feel free to grab it.” Mr. Barson leaned forward and started to remove his shirt. It was a bit of a struggle as his muscles fought over space to get the fabric off. “And feel free to make yourselves more comfortable. I know it’s hot. But I wouldn’t mind if you want to get out of your uniform.”

He looked up and stared. “I-I-I don-don’t th-thi-think he meant that com-comfortable,” Dan finally made out. He tried to look back down at the carpet but his eyes followed back up to my body. I went straight to work and started cleaning it up. It wasn’t hard. Still being a little wet made it that much easier to do. Dan was right up next to Mr. Barson watching me. I felt a little uncomfortable from what had just happened. It was kind of embarrassing but neither one seemed to mind. I finished up and stood up.
“Great job son,” Mr. Barson complemented. As he said it he paused. There was a bit of dead air as he lead me back to the front door. It was like he was thinking about something else when he said it. I knew Dan was a pretty good husband but the way he looked at me felt kind of weird. “I’ll make sure to call you back soon.” He handed me the check and some extra cash.
“Thank you,” I said back. “You're such a great dude.”

Yeah that was kind of the intent of Part 3 but I glossed over it more than i thought I did while i was writing it. I might go back and edit more 'hints' into it but I have to think of where to put them first. >.
