“Yeah?” his friend seemed a bit unimpressed. Even though Paul’s eyebrow rose ever so slightly, he’d kind of grown tired of how much his friend wanted to find and make fun of people online. “What’s this one?” he continued the conversation, knowing it was the only thing Tony wanted to talk about.
“Dude. Alright. It’s this guy. He’s some redneck type that lives out in the woods and builds his own shit. He calls himself big bear and all of his followers have different bear names attached to it. Like there’s daddy bear, brother bear, red bear, polar bear. Shit like that.”
“Uh-huh…” Paul nodded. He leaned back into the couch and was still feigning interest. All he wanted to do was play video games.
“Come on…” Tony whined. “Don’t you want to mess with those faggots?”
Paul cringed at the word. His body seemed to stiffen but he found himself rising from the couch. “Really? You really want to do this?”
“Yeah!” he looked like he was nearly shaking. “I already spent the five bucks to get into the chat room.”
“You paid to bother people!?”
“It’s just my dad’s money. Not like he needs it,” Tony started out. But again Paul didn’t seem impressed “I mean…” his body language started to change a little. He tried to shrink his average sized body into something even smaller. It was the best way to get Paul on his side. He just had to pretend to be a small and nervous and then Paul would feel sorry for him. “Yeah…” he looked back up from the floor, giving an uncomfortable smile. “Why not? I thought it’d be fun. It’s not like we’re going to be hurting anyone,” His shoulders shrugged. “Like going to the zoo or something.”
“But you wanted to be in the cage with the animals?” Paul scolded.
Tony let out a chuckle. “I guess,” he shrugged. “But we’ll just be throwing food and stuff at them.”
“You’re ridiculous,” Paul smiled. “Well… If you already paid to be in, we might as well try it.”
Paul was never hard to convince. All he needed was a bit of encouragement. One reason and he’d go along with just about anything Tony ever told him to do. “Alright!” Tony cheered. He rushed to the computer and booted up the website. “He’s supposed to be starting a livestream now. And then we can mess with them.”
“Yeah?” Paul was still being a bit trepidatious as he looked at the screen. There just seemed to be something off about the website. He’d seen plenty of websites that asked if you were 18 years or older but this was the first one that asked if you were easily persuaded. Tony instantly hit yes and they looked at the dark webpage. There were postings about meetups and getting to know each other.
“Oh fuck. I forgot, they post their nudes too,” Tony said excitedly. “Isn’t that crazy?”
Paul crossed his arms. He leaned back in the chair he was in. “Did you just find some fetish site…” he asked. “Cause I don’t feel like making fun of a bunch of guys getting off on this sexually. And how do you know you’re not just playing into their fantasy?” A grin crossed his face as he wanted to see what Tony would say.
“Fuck that! All the more fun! Just think about how much of a bunch of losers they are to get off to us making fun of them,” he smirked. His mind was too focused on the computer to think about what Paul was implying. If they participated in the fantasy, did that really mean it was still a joke?
“That’s not—“
“Shh!” Tony shushed his friend. “It’s starting.” He’d already clicked the play button and the photo of the bear was starting to change. On the screen there was a large burly man leaning back in his chair with a large cigar twisted in his mouth. Ashes were already building up at the end. ‘Big bear’ took the cigar out and dusted the ashes off into a small try next to him. He stuck the cigar back in his mouth and leaned over to pour himself some bourbon from the large container next to him. The ice rolled around the crystal cup as he looked over the chat.
“Evenin’ bears,” he grinned behind the thick cigar. Instantly at least a dozen people started messaging in the chat, all saying hello in their own way. “Glad you boys could make it. I don’t know if you noticed but we have a new guest in the chat tonight. Go on boy. Say hello.”
‘Hello,’ Tony typed into the chat bar.
“That’s uh good boy,” big bear praised. His smooth calm voice sent a shiver down Paul’s spine. He could hear the light rasp from years of smoking but the calm confident essence didn’t draw much attention to it. Paul looked over his friend and was a bit confused. There was genuine smile on Tony’s face as he heard the complement and Paul could have sworn he saw him try not to touch himself. His hand clenched the mouse tighter, while the other grabbed the desk. “Everyone say hello to young cub.” Instantly a series of messages all doing the same appeared welcoming Tony to the chat.
“Young cub?” Paul asked.
“Yeah. I couldn’t think of anything else,” Tony seemed to be almost out of breath as he said it. The words all slurred together and he almost seemed to be dismissing Paul.
“Well, since yer new to da chat, why don’tcha go ahead and introduce yerself. Tell us what makes you you,” big bear took the chance to drink some of his bourbon. He pulled his cigar out of his mouth and took a long slow drink. Laying further into his chair the hefty belly that pushed his plaid shirt to its limits looked all the bigger.
“What do I say?” Tony said with a bit of panic.
“What do you mean what do I say? I don’t know!” Paul shouted back. “This was your idea!”
“I know. I know. But it’s just…” Tony bit his bottom lip trying to think about something.
Paul sighed. “Just say you were a wrestling jock who got tired of cutting weight. And that you want to grow your body hair out.”
“What? You think that’d work?” Tony’s spirits lifted. He was so excited he didn’t even notice that his friend wasn’t really comfortable with the idea. Slowly Paul had been drifting further away from the computer. His body dug deeper into the chair as he looked at anything other than the screen. Even if the large handsome man demanded his attention, Paul didn’t want to give it to him.
“I think it should…” Paul said. “Just make sure you tell big bear how much you like his belly.”
“Alright!” Tony cheered. Excitement was back in his voice as he began typing away. He hit enter a couple of times and then saw big bear reading it. Suddenly he seemed really nervous. What was supposed to be a joke, now gave him a bit of anxiety as he watched big bear stare at the words.
“A jock?!” Big bear laughed heartily. His thick body shook as each laugh rolled through him. “Oh boy! Am I getting lucky,” the thick mountain man beard curled around the uptick of the sides of his mouth. His hand drifted lower to his crotch as he opened up the stained blue jeans, revealing his even worse stained white briefs. “Oh boy…” he tutted. The cigar in his mouth switched from side to side as his hands stayed down there. “I had no idea I’d be entertaining an athlete. I’d have worn something a little better.” Tony muttered a few words under his breath.
Paul was too distracted by the thick meaty cock to notice. His eyes were trained on the guy in front of him. “Tony. “Are you serious?” Paul asked. He almost looked a little hurt as he friend looked down on him. “All it was, was a livestream of a guy masturbating?” A few seconds passed as Tony unclenched his teeth but Paul still stared with his mouth slightly open. Both were confused as to what the other was thinking. “Are you mocking me?” Paul finally asked.
The strange question hit Tony for a second. It pulled him completely out of his anger. “What?” Every muscle in his body relaxed as he realized just how angry he'd gotten.
“Nothing. It’s nothing,” Paul quickly said. “Look I think I’m going to head home. I didn’t expect tonight to end up… End up with me seeing some random guy’s dick.”
“Paul…” Tony muttered. He turned back to the computer screen, confused at what he was just watching. For some reason he couldn’t quite remember it. Even though it’d just happened, it’d become a blank part in his memory. The more he focused on it, the more elusive the memory became. “What did we just watch..?”
Paul ignored the question. “Look. I get you wanted to make fun of people tonight. I just didn’t expect it to be me. Alright? I’m going home,” Paul headed towards the door ignoring his friend as he looked around still confused. “Call me when you want to do something besides make fun of people.”
The door slammed and again Tony was brought back to reality. “Paul. Wait.” But again he was a good thirty seconds behind what was going on around him. It was like a fog entered his mind and he couldn’t quite shake the feeling. He stared at the computer wall paper. “What just happened..?”
