“I said I’m thinking about it,” Lance said with a little more confidence. “It’s your deal,” he shoved the cards toward Matt.
“But--”
“Listen, I don’t know why! Alright! I’m just still thinking about it,” Lance shot back. He was feeling a little testy as he was thinking about what he wanted to do. But parts of him was still denying that he should do it.
Matt squirmed a little in his seat. He suddenly didn’t have a retort, a threat or even a snarky comment. He just went silent and started to shuffle the deck of cards. He dealt the five cards out to the other players. Kyle had already tossed in a green chip while Coach Hildebrandt tossed in 3 maroon ones. He clearly didn’t want to bet but right now he had to. He glanced at his cards, rolled his eyes and leaned back into a more comfortable position. He separated three cards from his hand but was clearly ready to fold the second someone bet anything.
Henry was quietly groaning to himself as he looked over his cards. Again he clearly didn’t have much but he didn’t want to end up like this. He hated seeing the 34 year old fatter guy with barely anything to his name. Not to mention how now he wouldn’t even be able to play football. He tossed in five orange chips and hoped no one would really care.
Lance stared down at his cards. The 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 actually could have been something. If he tossed the nine he could have a chance at a three or an eight. Worse comes to worse he’d at least pair up. And with how distant Coach was and how upset Henry was, there was a chance. Of course if he didn’t get anything, it didn’t matter and he’d just waste a few chips. But if he did, he quickly tossed in a green chip and passed it off to Matt.
The jock looked over his cards. He was examining everyone else. He seemed to be pretty confident in his cards again but wasn’t saying anything. He just tossed in a green chip and turned to Kyle, “How many?”
“3,” Kyle held up three fingers.
“Same,” Coach said. He looked at the cards then set them down again. “Fold.”
“2,” Henry’s leg was rapidly moving. He couldn’t seem to stop it. He looked at his cards and then tossed them to the ground. “Fuck!”
“Just 1,” Lance held up his finger and took the single card. ‘A three!’ his eyes lit of for a second but he didn’t think Matt could see it as he was looking down. It was a straight. Compared to some of the hands they were getting tonight it didn’t mean much, but on average it was a pretty good hand. Matt was still sitting above him and probably couldn’t see his sudden joy. Lance did his best to maintain his more stoic face as he looked back towards his bully.
“And two for me,” he pulled off the top two cards and then looked at them. “Fuck yeah,” he grinned. “Might as well just fold now boys.”
Kyle didn’t seem too perturbed. But if a bomb went off in the school, Lance didn’t think that guy would react to that either. “I don’t know… I think I’ll just bet 10 maroon chips.” The 240 pound bodybuilder could still easily do that. His large defined muscles easily could have lost the weight and barely look any smaller.
“I’ll actually raise,” Lance said. “10 maroon chips and 2 more green ones.” Matt suddenly looked nervous. He couldn’t believe that the two of them were actually betting. He thought he was just going to be able to buy the pot and they’d just fold. He slowly lowered his cards back down, ready to fold. “Don’t be a bitch,” Lance gave a toothy smile.
“W-what?” Matt looked shocked that Lance would say something like that.
“I said don’t be a bitch. All night you’ve been bragging about how much you won. And you won a lot. Now you’re gonna say you have this awesome hand and then fold it? Come on… Don’t be a bitch,” Lance taunted. He knew it was getting under his skin. Matt at all times had to be the alpha. He was one who insulted other guys. Cause he was better than them. But Lance knew the second he complemented his hand Matt had nothing. Now all he had to do was get him to bet.
“You think I’m scared?” Matt shuffled his legs and tried to close them for a second. They instantly opened wide open again with a bulge running down the shorts on his right leg.
“I mean you aren’t betting,” Lance shrugged. “Guess it’s just cause you’re scared…”
Matt grit his teeth. Even a bit of an angry growl escaped his lungs. “Scared?” he repeated.
“Yeah scared,” Lance chuckled. It was so dismissive that Matt couldn’t help but grit his teeth even harder. The anger inside him was only matched by his sudden arousal. Lance could see him trying to hide it as he pressed down on his shorts in a very overt manner. He clearly always saw himself as a top but now being overly sexually submissive he couldn’t help but be turned on by the dismissive tone.
“I’m not scared,” Matt shouted.
“Okay,” Lance stated. “You are not scared.”
“Fuck you! I’m not! I'm not a scared little bitch!”
“I agree. You are not a scared little bitch,” the monotone in Lance’s voice only drove Matt even crazier. He wasn’t thinking straight anymore. The odd mixture of feelings was completely messing with his mind. On the one hand he never wanted to be submissive to anyone but on the other he couldn’t get Lance out of his head. He didn’t want to be so easily manipulated. Even if he knew what Lance was doing he couldn’t stop it.
“Really bitch? You think I’m scared bitch?” Matt didn’t have the same thrust behind the curse word as he had before. It almost came out in two syllables as he said it. Like it was the first time he’d ever said. “I’ll show you a bitch.” He tossed his hand out let 30 maroon chips, 10 orange and 2 green ones fall out of his hand. It was going to change his entire body composition if he lost. “I’ll even throw in the extra football skill ones. Does that look like a bitch?” he panted. "Fuck you... I'm not scared..."
Kyle smiled and held his hands up. “It’s yours.” Matt gave a triumphant snort then turned to Lance.
“Really?” Lance laughed. “Fuck. If I’d know it was that easy to get you riled up I would have done it a lot sooner. I guess you’re lucky I didn’t have anything to play with…”
“Wait… What?” Matt’s mouth dropped as he realized that Lance wasn’t phased in the slightest. His demeanor only seemed even more confident as he started to pour out the same. However once he reached the requirements he didn’t stop. More chips piled up as he sacrificed more and more of his weight and then the rest of his heterosexuality. “See I don’t think you can beat me. I realized your tell a little while ago. It just wasn’t until now I knew for a fact. But the thing is what I want is going to sound a bit crazy. I know sunk cost fallacy but there’s really no reason for you to wager much more. What I really want from you is to wager three dates with me. You have to go on three real dates with me.”
Matt stared. “W-what?” he paused seeing the rest of Lance’s heterosexuality on the board. “There’s no way… Why would you risk that… I didn’t even tell you to and you did… But…” he stared at Lance again. Confusion ran through his mind. “You don’t even have to… And you are…”
“Maybe I’m just being crazy,” Lance shrugged. “Maybe I saw a friend who it made really happy. Maybe I’ve always been a faggot at heart.” He laughed causing the side of Matt’s lips to upturn ever so slightly.
“Am I really..?” Matt was going to question.
“What’s in the pot can’t be taken back,” Kyle interrupted his thoughts. “All it is, is a couple of dates. And with someone you might actually like.”
“Fuck…” Matt turned his head away as the three golden chips dropped from his hand. He couldn’t look. He knew he didn’t have anything but was still giving in. “Whatever…” he kept his eyes turned away as he flipped over his pair of kings. Hearing the light laugh from Lance gave him the answer he knew he was going to have. Instantly he could already feel his muscular 220 pound body start to fade more and more. He could feel his muscles, still large and defined, fade into something more of a more than average gym goer than the large imposing ones he’d always loved. His shirt felt loose around his body while he knew he’d have to buy new shorts as well.
After a good few seconds Matt finally turned his head to look at Lance. He saw two distinct piles in front of the smaller guy. “What are you doing?” he asked.
“Huh? Oh! Yeah, if you’re gonna be QB you can’t lose all that weight. I don’t wanna date some loser,” Lance grinned. “Plus, even with it I don’t think I’d really be able to compete in football. But with the rest that I got I can at least workout with you, maybe play a little on the side.” He looked at the football skill chips again. “Well at least throw the ball back and forth… Whatever…”
Lance took his chips and started to absorb them into his body. He could feel the 13 pounds of muscle and five pounds of fat adding to his overall frame. The medium shirt around his torso grew tight as he passed the 160 pound mark. He wasn’t sure if he’d want to push up to a large because then the definition and size he’d had wouldn’t be as pronounced. Even down his legs he could see his thick thighs and calves and figured he’d probably have to get some new shoes. The 9 and a halfs were just a little bit too small on his feet. However there was still a very clear stack of chips holding his sexuality that was stacked next to him.
“Are you…” Matt cut himself off. “Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Ehh why the fuck not?” Lance laughed. “Big guy like you needs a strong guy like me.” He threw up an arm showing off the 14 inch arm. Matt let out a bit of an uncomfortable laugh as he felt the smaller man pull him into a hug. “C’mon let’s think about what we’ll do for that first date.”
“Okay,” Matt breathed. He still felt a bit uncomfortable but wasn’t as afraid to try. For the first time thoughts of him actually enjoying this were going through his head.

That ending is perfectly in keeping with the characters, and very sweet without being syrupy. I loved it :)
