Chapter 1.5 Mini-Update
🕑 Added 2023-08-30 21:14:01 +0000 UTCHowdy Y'all. The team and I have been hard at work behind the scenes working on a mini-update to Chapter 1. Aside from addressing grammar and typo issues, we took to heart some of the most recurring feedback regarding pacing in one spot, and a little context in another.
It will included about 1,500 to 2,000 additional words. Adding a short reflective scene after your first shift at Video Den, before dinner at the Lodgepole with Aldric.
The 'spooky' scene has gone through a rework as well, dropping the eyes, and easing it in a bit more gradually so it's not so abrupt.
Additionally we will be adding two backgrounds Lodgepole Grill by Drewzy, and Downtown by Bork. With one new track by HYENABLOOD.
I believe these additions and refinements, in addition to the grammar corrections, new art, and music will make a replay enjoyable and more cohesive. But I do not find it 'required' to read from the start again before you start Chapter 2.
If you'd like, you can easily press Tab with the game running to skip through the scenes you've seen already. Stop after the summer camp scene and read normally to the Lodgepole dinner with Aldric for that new self reflection section, and the revised coin scene takes place right after Lodgepole, so you can see the new content with ease.
I'd like to release this update in two weeks for Patreons, and a week after that for the public. Future major releases will maintain the 2 week early access for Patreons.
If you have any questions give me a poke here, or on the Patreon channel of the Discord. Thank you again for your support, it's helping us make updates like these with new assets possible.
