Hey all!
Before getting into all the new secret project stuff we're a bit overdue to introduce some brand new patrons to our concoction of eeeeeeevil! Please, give a warm welcome to the following individuals (and mark them as the new sacrifices); James R., Jacob D., Eric H., Paul H., Derek B., Steven M., Michael, Sky J., Morionite, D C, Ehanu R., Declang3, Alex E., Felin, Paint P., JMA, XRoacHx, Shrimpy, R, Wyatt S., Luke, Dane D., Anthony T., Furuta. Welcome all of you! I hope you've been enjoying the game thus far and I really, really appreciate your donations, especially so close to the holidays which is a particularly difficult time for most people. That's why I want to remind everyone that if you are having holiday troubles, problems at home, problems with friends or family or loneliness or you just feel like venting, I (and many Discordians actually) am always here for you on Discord, Email and even Patreon/Blog posts. Don't hesitate to get in contact!
Anyway, you all should be receiving some Benefit Emails in the next day or so which will have all of your codes and how to properly use them so if you have any questions about them or what you need to do, please let me know and I will be happy to explain it step by step. Also, I invite you to join us on Discord, Email and Patreon/Blog. Here is a Discord Link which will never expire: https://discord.gg/y3V4hbN
I think that's about it: again, I thank you all for your donations and continued support for the development of the game, I hope my hard work has been showing through and giving glimpses what is possible and what is to come!
Secret Project: This is going to be a doozy but I honestly think it's time I let you all know what I've been working on. Hopefully it will excite you and hopefully it'll help clarify a couple of things and help flesh out the world that the player is inhabiting. Keep in mind this is only Part 1 of 2.
Alright, so here it goes! The secret project I've been working on is a brand new room in the very beginning which has been hinted a couple of times throughout the game. The Caravan encounter. The caravan encounter takes place before the opening to the Waterhole and will serve as the new beginning of the game once it's fully completed and tested. This area has weather effects, weather descriptions and a new picture with a second winter version on the way. As for the part 1 of 2 --- the next half of the Secret Project will involve 2 rooms you are already familiar with; the Waterhole and the Rolling Hills (and possibly a third, brand new room).
Anyway, this new Caravan room will host 6 brand new NPCs, a new opening narration, a couple of lewd scenes and dynamic interactions and explanations regarding different hints for newcomers. Each encounter has a couple of variations and variables that will change the way the NPCs interact with you. The six new NPCs are: Callie, Rowen, Nieva, Freya, Jensen and Pascal who will help guide the player into the current mind-set of the continent and what has happened that led the player to meeting them and the reasons behind the refugee's heading south in the story. You will meet the Caravan several times throughout the game (although their fate will depend on the player's actions). Each of them also have a unique description regarding your dominant mood. You can also get various supplies here, gold, items, food for the road, you can get your ass spanked---fun for the whole family! I'll go into details on the changelog once it's fully finished but now you know!
Some of you might be wondering...."Why create a brand new room in the beginning?" Because because, a lot of people who played were confused about what they were doing, where they were going and why. So I thought I would break up some of the exposition in the Waterhole and provide the information through characters instead which was my original plan for the remake of those areas but I didn't have the coding expertise at the time to pull it off. Since I do now I thought the Caravan scene was needed to help jump start the journey forward.
I really hope you guys enjoy it----if I can finish it in time. I have one NPC left and all the major chunks of content complete. Ugh!
Here is the Summer/Spring/Fall version of the Caravan room provided by our lovely background artist, Alexis Rillera!
Anyway! That's all I got for the time being. I have a few more surprises at Xmas too that I hope all of you enjoy!
