AMS v0.99B (PTB-Full) + New Patrons + Poll Results + News
🕑 Added 2018-11-10 07:42:53 +0000 UTC Hey everyone ^_^Yay, for update day! Although don't expect a huge change-log this time around. There are a lot of new things though that I'll want to cover in the news and I want to introduce a couple of new patrons to our little concoction of evil! Bwahaha!
So let's go ahead and get started. Please give a very warm welcome to the following individuals: RainbowInTheDark, 2Steps and Grnd91. It's very nice to meet you three and I hope your week has been going well. If not, I'm sure it'll quickly turn around!
I'd also like to welcome back; Rincet! ^_^
With that said, I really want to encourage you to get involved with the game's community and get to know some of the fellow people donating---I'm really sure you all would get along quite well! I would like to meet you more officially too. It's always nice meeting donators and getting feedback from you ^_^ Naturally, this is completely optional on your end but I imagine it might give you peace of mind to know who you're giving your hard-earned cash to!
Anyway, if you're interested in getting in contact with me there are a variety of ways; Email, Blog, Patreon and Discord to name a few. In fact, here is a permanent invite to the Discord which will never expire. https://discord.gg/y3V4hbN Please join us there as that is where I am most active. Especially, if you want to stay up on current events or things I'm thinking of doing to the game.
Also, I should be sending a Benefits Email to you in a short while either tonight or tomorrow at some point which will have all your codes and how to use them. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any problems with it whatsoever ^_^
I think that's all I got on this front for the time being. I'm kind of tired at the moment so if I forgot anything just let me know!
POLL RESULTS
I appreciate everyone voting on the poll over the last couple of days! Thank you for your participation. According to most of you, there seems to be a preference regarding randomized starting times which I completely understand. So I'll end up leaving the game with randomized start dates for the time being but in the future I may end up allowing the player to choose between current time/months or randomized. We'll see! And again, thank you everyone for voting!
NEWS
Alrighty! So there's a couple of things I would like to discuss with you so you guys are as up-to-date with things happening with the game and myself so none of you are in the dark about anything, it'll also give me an opportunity to clear up something that I've already discussed with a patron. It's nothing bad, so don't worry :D
For those who think (for some unknown reason or another) that the game is dying or that I've lost interest in it, you couldn't be further from the truth. I'm having more fun working on it now than I did when I first started, especially since I'm very close to finishing Chapter 1. Ideas are coming to me like every other day about how to improve current mechanics or to make things more fun and interesting, so relax. ^_^ Hell, I have three dungeons already planned for the Whispering Thicket and I'm very eager to get to them! >.<
BUT , I am a human being and do occasionally like to switch things up a bit and pay attention to other aspects of my life. Keep in mind I usually work like 40-60 hours a week on this project (like bug hunting, testing, talking in forums, adding new scripts etc) but every now and then I like to switch it up by taking longer breaks, playing some games (an activity I love but hardly get to do anymore), get outside etc---all of these things prevent me from getting burned out. I also started a new job so I've been getting used to that as well.
In fact, I've taken breaks like this before (once or twice) since the game's conception about 2 years ago (only it didn't have as many followers back then so no one probably noticed lol). So no, I am not burned out and I'm not losing interest in the game. I love working on it and hope to make it a full time career someday. That would be amazing.
For those who don't know, burning out essentially means the death of a game for an author. It's incredibly hard to come back from and can result in one of two things happening. Either 1, the author decides to stop working on a project and then switches to a new project (which end up becoming three or four projects, all of which never end up finished), or 2, the author leaves the game they are working on for years and years and years, and may never ever actually come back to it.
Neither of these scenarios have happened to me regarding Apocamorphosis. So relax! If I had any inclination whatsoever to stop working on the game, I hope you all know that I would notify you immediately. Open development means I share everything with you good and bad so you can make an informed decision.
If you have ANY concerns or questions about this, please don't hesitate to talk to me.
Now then! Moving on!
Music
On one front I have music commissioned again from Studio Cafofo for the Withered Snag/Goblin House (but only the top area for the time being). That means when you descend into the lab, that particular melody will cease. The music will set a very ambient-heavy mood and hopefully won't be intrusive. HOWEVER just in case, I'm going to add a command where you can turn off the music of a particular area by simply typing MUSIC.
To get music started again, just return to the beginning of that area. That's it! Let me know your thoughts on this :)
Background
I also just received a new picture commission from our wonderful background artist, Alexis Rillera! And it turned out amazing. BUT I cannot show it to you all yet because it's part of the secret project within the game that I've been devoting some time to with every update. It's about ....25% completed though or maybe a little more! But it's shaping up quite nicely. I should be commissioning the next variant of the picture soon too! Hurrah! And even a couple more characters.
I have changed the way corruption works as well. The details will be in the change-log but it NO LONGER RESULTS IN A GAME-OVER! :D Hurrah! I know many of you will be pleased about that.
Saving
Another major area I'm trying to tackle is hiring a programmer to create a brand new or completely revamped Save System. In fact, the guy is already working on it as we speak. So that's pretty exciting. I did post some details about in the previous Patreon post but basically we might set it up as a checkpoint sort of thing internally but we'll see. You guys will now the moment I do. But really, I think anything would be better than what we have at the moment.
AND NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! Thank you very much for your patience! Also, don't expect a massive changelog like I normally pump out okay?
AMS v0.99B (PYB-Full) Changelog!
Bug Fixes
- Fixed this…Failed to save field `'slimeboygood.futasexmenuredux' with value" with value 'Script:' - Function not found: 'futasexmenuredux' when the Player attempts to Save. I also repaired the scripts for the ‘malesexmenuredux’ and the ‘femalesexmenuredux’ so those shouldn’t be throwing errors anymore.
- Fixed a discrepancy dealing with the Player as a Female Virgin being contradicted in a Waterhole description scene. Thanks, LosTiger!
- Fixed some spacing in the Stats Page
Game Expansion
- On the secret project I finished some exit descriptions and variables and I’ve written a major interaction within. I’ve also commissioned a picture for it from our wonderful background artist, Alexis Rillera which is now completed and ready to go. There is another major interaction and secondary interaction completed within the secret project.
-More Slime Encounter Sex Scenes finished. 2 More Sex Scenes which conclude the Futa/Male version of him for the time being. These can get you pregnant if you’re a Female character. All that’s left are the Globina straight/lesbian interactions.
- Corruption no longer causes a game-over scenario. See below under Stats for new Corruption details! ((The Help Guide has not been updated regarding this yet)).
- The new Save/Load is still currently being developed! I’ll let you guys know more when I do.
- The Wolf-Taur NPC now has an initial conversation with a menu choice regarding how you want to respond to him.
Combat
- The Scissors have received a massive overhaul description for Male and Female Zombies. The scripts are both descriptive enough to apply to the current creature you’re fighting and any other humanoids you come across which will allow me to add in new enemies faster ^_^ Let me know if you come across any glitches or weirdness!
Stats
- Corruption, regarding the script of becoming 100% corrupted have been completely rewritten/reworked. From here on out, 100% Corruption will NO LONGER result in a game-over. Instead, starting at 90% Corruption or higher, the Player’s Sympathy and Serious Moods will have a 1% per turn to be reduced by 1 (until the Player gets beneath the 90% Corruption cap). Your Meditation Skill will also be reduced to 0. Keep in mind, some NPCs won’t talk to you if you are too Corrupted which means you may miss out on certain Quests or interactions etc. You also have a 25% chance to receive some horrifying messages if you lose Sympathy/Serious Mood Points…More to come regarding this particular change in the future 😊
Sex
- I’ve begun Glob’s sex scenes. I wanted to try something a little different for these sex scenes however and if they go over well with everyone, I’ll just make it a standard for all NPC sex scenes from here on out (no, I will not be revisting any previous sex scenes before Glob) with this method. Ultimately, each Gender option with him will bring up a Menu List of Choices about how you want to proceed with the scene (Entice will do something similar to this and Masturbate already does) and even allowing you to repeat them and finish him off; each scene having both First Time versions and repeatable versions with Lust and Horny Variables. During the Repeated scenes you’ll be prompted if you want to finish him in whatever way your currently having sex; in your ass, mouth, vagina, on your breasts etc will be chosen at random. If the Player reaches 10 Lust however, they will Orgasm and the scene between you will end. All of these scenes also change a bit based on your Dominant Mood.
For the different versions of him. These are your Menu Choices:
FUTA
Suck Hir -complete-
Get Pegged, Anal Sex -complete-
Get Pegged, Vaginal Sex -complete-
Stop Playing With Globa -complete-
MALE
Suck Him -complete-
Get Pegged, Anal Sex -complete-
Get Pegged, Vaginal Sex -complete-
Stop Playing With Glob -complete-
FEMALE
Lick Her Pussy -incomplete-
Have Her Lick Your Vagina -incomplete-
Suck On Her Breasts -incomplete-
Stop Playing With Globina -complete-
*Obviously several of these are Player Gender based. Female Player’s will not be able to Rub Dicks Together and Male Player’s can’t have their Vagina Licked, for example. If you’re a Male Player a Breast Size of C-cup or bigger won’t remove the choice of having your Breasts sucked.
* The usual variables apply: Lactation. And obviously if you go against your current Orientation there is a chance “per menu choice that violates your Orientation” that it may gain or lose points.
* Each choice also increases your Lust by either +1, +2 or +3.
* The Player Orgasm Scripts are already in the game as well for all genders.
The Sympathy and Serious, first time scenes, repeated scenes and fade-out/sex scenes are finished for Male and Futa Slime Genders. These can and will result in Orientation changes and possibly Pregnancy as well.
**I will only be working on the Vaginal Sex Scene with FUTA and MALE versions of Glob and the Oral Sex Scences with FEMALE Glob before moving onto the next NPC. I can come back and finish the rest later as they will take more time.
- Globa/Glob can now get Female Character’s Pregnant. Remember even if Globa/Glob cums inside of your Character and you don’t immediately get Pregnant, there is still a chance for 25 turns for it to happen afterward.
Other
- I’ve added the Wolf-Taur NPCs (Tendrance) interaction. So far only one of the choices is completed “Compliance With His Request” in which case Rold will enter and the scene will end.
