Hotfix, New Patrons, Voting!
🕑 Added 2018-05-04 03:54:37 +0000 UTC You can download the AMS v0.96C (PTB-Hotfix) HEREHey all :)
Just releasing a hotfix that fixes a couple of random things. I don't think any of them affected anything major except the SaveLoad System and the Crafting System. I also rewrote the Rolling Hills (just the middle and last sections) for all the Moods and spaced all the scripts there better so there’s less clustering of paragraphs. I also cleaned up some of the language, fixed Rold’s responses (including adding his color code which wasn’t possible before with how I had it set-up), made the text more intuitive for your height instead of based on your race and I separated the Male and Female sections because they were a bunched-up mess. Hopefully, you guys will notice quite a big change in that particular section which makes the presentation of the events clearer. I also added a warning about the Withered Snag/Tutorial Area to player’s who might not have known before that skipping is essentially dodging a lot of end-game quests and receiving a lot of items. Let me know what you guys think!
These are a few of the errors that were fixed.
- A couple of items and the new Crafting System were causing weird errors to happen in the SaveLoad system. It wasn’t hindering saves but the errors have been fixed.
- Fixed “I was not expecting a + “ which was caused by the in-game + signs next to the Crafting Noble Items.
- Added the Metallurgy Kit to the Survival Inventory list.
- A Metric Crap-Ton of errors have been fixed regarding various areas of the game. They were actually found by KV when he was trying to convert the game to a browser (as a test). :D And no it’s not possible at the moment because my game has too much code for something like that.
That's about it regarding the hotfix and why it took a couple of days.
Oh, before I forget---included in this Hotfix is the newest Quest 5.8 Beta 2 which isn't an official release. I don't think you'll have to upgrade to this one yet but if you want to, it's the latest version :)
Now then! Let's talk new patrons! Please give a very, very warm welcome to Daniel the Dazzling, Null the Nun, Tslothrop the Terrific, DeadFred the Dandy and Tyler the Tumbler! Thank you all so much for donating to the game and supporting it's development. As most of you know I would love to develop the game full-time and with every donation we get a bit closer to that. But more importantly with each donation, you help not only my family but other families of St.Jude's Children Hospital as well. On top of that, the more eyes that are on the game the better it will become because all of our ideas will feed into it's development which will increase the world building and immersion I hope to create. So thank you, thank you, thank you! :D :D You all make me super happy. You can also expect to receive a personalized email here in the next day or so. I have to finish writing the last two. Also, if you're interested, please join us on Discord and joint he zany conversations we have. If you're interested in finding out what I'm thinking and where I'm going, I often talk there and throw out ideas first before bringing them to Patreon or the Blog. Here is the link invite if you're interested: HERE.
And again before it slips my mind, if you haven't already voted, please do so. I'm very interested in what all of you think :D Here are the two poles.
