AMS v.0.96C (PTB) Update + New Patrons + Two Polls; Interface, Updates + News
🕑 Added 2018-04-29 04:45:59 +0000 UTC https://www.patreon.com/posts/18474231 AMS v0.96C (PTB)Heya everyone :D
So ....there is a lot to talk about! Before we get into that though, let's introduce us some brand new patrons! Please give a fond welcome to Advent the Adventurous and Zerdet the Zany. First off, let me say that I really appreciate all of you donating to the game. Honestly, I want to do this full time so I can really pour all my time and energy into it, and every dollar you guys donate really helps achieve that dream. It also helps to keep me to support ye olde family. So thank you very much for all of your generosity. :D Now then, you both should be receiving your personalized thank-you emails tonight since I just finished writing them. They should contain all of of the codes you've earned and how to use them! I also apologize for taking so long to get to this message but I really wanted to wait for the update so I wouldn't spam all of you with a hundred messages. Plus, more people are likely to see you on update day! Oh, I want to invite both of you (and everyone else) to join us on Discord. It's a pretty friendly environment and I'm constantly in-touch with everyone on there whether they are a donator or not. I usually run ideas there first as well ^_^ So you'll get to share your opinion more frequently. Here's the link. It'll never expire.
And before I forget I really encourage everyone to share their insights, ideas and critiques. I want the development of every aspect of the game to be completely open so you know what to expect, how I feel about certain things and where I want to take development. That's just the way I like operating! So anyway, it's really, really good to have new additions to our growing Apoca-Ville! Hopefully I won't disappoint any of you.
Two Polls; Interface and Updates. I would love to know what you guys think of the current new interface and I have a poll that I will release shortly after this post which will be linked here. It will show the differences between the current interface and another --- very minor change but it does change the presentation a little bit, so I'm interested to know what you all prefer. This doesn't mean the interface will never change again, but this will be the current for at least one update. So please share your vote and a reason why you voted for your choice if you care to. Also, if you have any suggestions about other types of interfaces, I'd love to hear them.
The other poll has to do with Updates which is arguably the more important of the two for me at the moment. If you only pick one poll to vote on, please choose this one and let me know what you think. I would greatly appreciate everyone's input. My idea is that the current Public Release which is AMS v.096B will be the final public release/demo until I completely finish all of Chapter 1. So instead of staggering Public and PTB releases, it would be PTB, PTB --- so that all of you could keep testing all the new content (which allows me to fix things). Nothing will change other than not releasing the game to the public until Chapter 1 is complete. I will still be doing frequent news, update information and introducing new patrons like I've been doing from the beginning.
The reason behind this is that there is enough of the game out right now to wet the public appetite I think. And since little chunks of the game get updated at a time, I think it would more substantial to delay the next public release until I can show off ALL of Chapter 1 and with all the Systems and Remasters finished. A lot of people on Discord think it's a really great idea because people will notice the big fat release and changes than if I kept doing smaller continuous updates. So ...lemme know what you guys think. Would you rather me do a Public, PTB release like I've been doing, or delay the next Public Release until Chapter 1 is finished :)

In Other News, I've been in contact with a character artist. You can find his work here. https://addrossi.deviantart.com/gallery/ and we've been talking about all the legal stuff, he's been playing the game to get a feel for it and we'll be discussing what I want. I've even mentioned a character viewer that he might be interested in doing. But from what I can tell, he seems quite excited to work on the game. That means that each character will be professionally drawn (not just by me) and they will all have two variations depending on your Dominant Mood (so Sympathy/Serious will have cute/regular character portraits and Sexy/Sarcasm will have more provocative/sexy poses). He really loves my designs too and is ready to translate those pieces into his own style. Pretty cool, huh? Because the game isn't making a ton yet, I have to stagger when I get commissions from him but I'll do my best to keep them consistent. Let me know what you think!
I had found a beautiful background artist too but she didn't want her work to be associated with a porn game, so the search continues for that! Also, don't worry, you won't see ANY pictures if you don't want to. You'll only see pictures if you "look" at something directly but it won't be forced on you otherwise. :)
Now then! Let's get the release. I have some really great news. The Crafting System is 100% completed which turned out to be quite a daunting task. I was even working on the last aspects of it today to get it all ready to use. You can find the details in the changelog. Speaking of which because of the Crafting Item List, the changelog is going to be monstrous and the blogger site is likely to butcher how I have it set up and I have no intention of correcting it this time unless it's really bad and unreadable, LOL! Also, the new Goblin Transformations have been remastered via the Goblin Cream and now affects males and females separately and all of the Male Flirt Responses for Rold's Initial Conversation are finished. I even began the Sexy Mood Dominant Flirt Sex Scene but at the moment it's unfinished.
Like I said before I lost about a week and half of work because of how sick I got and because we're also preparing to graduate so there's a lot of business to take care of preparing for that. But Rold should definitely be finished for the next update and so should the laboratory. I need to add one quick little boolean to it which will determine if you hit some transformations traveling to some of the other laboratory rooms (Rold warns the player in some conversations and doesn't in others because of your Moods and how you treat him), so that will be a nice little variable to experience. You won't experience any transformations if you have Resist and the transformations that will be there will be like little ones; Hair Color, Hair Length, Eye Color --- stuff like that. So look forward to it!
So now then.
Changelog! v0.96C (PTB)
Bug Fixes
- Fixed four errors in the scripting with the Rest Command. CloneObjectAndMovehere to CloneObjectAndMoveHere. This was affecting the Quest Default Save. Thanks KV!
- Arrows on the Compass were missing from the Online Version and causing a couple lines of error to appear. These have been executed! Thanks KV! This subsequently makes the saving process more stable.
- Due to technical difficulties there will only be one Save System for the Online Version which is the SaveLoad Library. The Desktop version still has both and will continue to have both for a long while.
- Fixed this upon loading a game: Error running script: Error compiling expression 'Split("Look at;Drop;Equip;Repair;Harvest")': FunctionCallElement: Could find not function 'Split(String)' --- If you get this, it’s likely because your Quest version is out-of-date. Remember I always include the latest Quest release with the game zip file :D
- Some Clothing and Piercings were labeled as Cloth that weren’t supposed to be. All of these errors have been repaired.
- Numerous upon numerous…NUMEROUS little errors and fixes with the Crafting System have been dealt with. It should be ready to go now.
- Made it so that Sacks of Gold are not Craftable. That’s so silly! You can create your own Sacks though.
- Added the Metallurgy Kit to the Survival Inventory list. Although, it seems to be hit and miss. I think because the item is getting cloned. It’ll be fixed soon enough. It shouldn’t hinder anything, but if it does, let me know.
Transformations
- The Goblin Transformation, i.e the Goblin Cream item has been remastered. It is now more descriptive and interesting 😊 The main description has been remastered and changes based on what your Dominant Mood is Sexy/Sarcasm, Sympathy/Serious. With every dose of Goblin Skin Cream that you take a couple of different stat gains can happen along with the transformations, see chart below:
Both Genders: You have a 25% chance of a +1 Corruption Gain or -1 Corruption Loss with a 50% chance for either to happen. This also has a Corruption Variable which changes the script based on how high your Corruption is. You might be wondering, why both? Well, it’s because there are Goblins in the game’s world who have completely succumbed to their instincts causing them to commit horrible acts like rape and murder to get their sexual fix. But there are other Goblins and even Demi-Goblins (like Rold and Hannah) who mostly have themselves under control and can actually be very good “people” so that’s why there is both. You also have a 20% chance to gain +1 toward your Sexy Mood and a 20% chance to gain +1 toward your Sarcasm Mood. Depending on your Dominant Mood, you have a 16% chance to become Horny instantly or if you already are you’ll gain +10 Lust. You have a 14% chance to gain +1 Lust, a 12% chance to gain +1 Maximum Health while losing -2 Intelligence. Transformations: The descriptions change a little based on your Gender, but it also takes Race variables into account as well. But you have a 20% chance to Shrink 2in/.05m (but you can’t get any smaller than 3ft/0.9m), a 16% chance to gain Goblin Ears, a 14% to get a Goblin Mouth: Teeth and Tongue, a 12% Goblin Hands and an 11% chance to gain Goblin Feet. In addition to the transformations, you can also gain the Stats mentioned above.
Female Specific: You have an 11% chance to gain +2 Agility while losing +2 Strength. You have a 10% chance to make yourself more Fertile too.
Male Specific: You have an 11% chance to gain +2 Strength while losing -2 Agility. You have a 10% chance to gain a bigger Penis Size too.
These will happen regardless of Resist.
*Essentially though the Goblin Transformation now affects both genders which it didn’t take into account before*
Other
- Fixed the message on the upstairs north doorway which is locked to Player’s at the moment. Apparently it was only showing a period sometimes! I have tested and fixed that!
- The interface has been reshuffled around, you guys will have to let me know what you think about it and what you would like to see changed or fixed with it. ^_^
- New Item: Crafting Table for the final phase of the Crafting System. There are going to be several versions of it depending on the location that you find them in. So sometimes they might appear very solid and ready to be worked upon and sometimes you’ll find real beat-up dilapidated ones that could fall apart at any second! More variations to come too. For now the solid one has been set up in Rold’s Laboratory for Player’s to test.
- Removed the message about the Goblin Cream not being remastered or in placeholder status from the Alchemy Table in Rold’s Laboratory.
- I finished all the Male Flirt Scenarios with Rold’s Initial Conversation. If you have a Sexy Dominant Mood you’ll lose -5 Relationship Points, Sympathy Dominant will not lose any (as the Player loses their nerve and can’t go through with it), Sarcasm Dominant will lose -5 Relationship Points and Serious will lose -7 Relationship Points. These scenarios also have an Orientation variable and obviously a gender variable too. These turned out to be roughly 4k words.
- I’ve begun the Dominant Sex Scenes for the Flirt Option with Rold’s Initial Conversation.
- Wood is now a Craftable Element that can be used in Crafting or Harvested.
- New Item for Crafting: Metallurgy Kit for Crafting Metal Items.
- So I made a list of every single Craftable Item/Clothing/Weapon in the game. Brace yourselves cause this took 3 ½ hours straight of writing! Basically, if something needs Metal, you’ll need a Metallurgy Kit, if it needs Cloth/Leather you’ll need a Sewing Kit and if the item has Wood, Glass, Essence of Transformation, Essence of Modification, or Edible Essence you’ll need a Mixing Kit. These all use different Skills as well. Tailoring Skill for Leather and Cloth, Forging Skill for Metal and Alchemy Skill for everything else. You cannot craft Noble Items. Those must be earned or bought. 😊 This Crafting System also utilizes three completely different skills; Alchemy Skill, Tailoring Skill and Forging Skill. For all of them, these are the success rates.
Take your current Skill Level in whatever Skill you’re trying to use and than multiply that by 10 and that’s your percentage of success.
*All items are consumed upon success OR failure. I owe a gigantic thanks to KV for helping me design the look of it, showing me a more effective way of doing very large menus (since originally I was going to set it up like the character creator menu but the direction it was going, it would have been like three times the length and Quest couldn’t handle it) and he even thought of a lot of ideas that I ended finding brilliant. Thanks again KV!*
I’ve also created a character named Cayden John who is a very famous survivalist/novelist and treasure hunter whom the player will occasionally discover remnants of throughout the work. This crafting list is a page from his book the Cayden John Memoirs! I hope you guys enjoy it!

- The Crafting System List for Crafting (the thing listed above) has been added to the Game’s Help Guide under a separate category. Because of the sheer size of this thing, instead of putting it as a script with Press to Continues, I’m going to add it as a link download. It’ll be a notepad for super quick and simple downloads. The Crafting System SHOULD be completed with this addition. Harvest and Crafting work together but are fundamentally different systems. 😊
- You can now get Metallurgy Kit’s, Sewing Kits and Mixing Kits from Rold’s Alchemy Table. You can also search the Alchemy Table for the Crafting Notes. It is an object that is divided into sections; you can view each section individually. It will also appear in the Help Guide after you find and unlock it essentially. If you skip the Withered Snag/Goblin House tutorial you will be able to find the notes elsewhere throughout the game. This will just be the earliest you can find it. You also have to meet Rold first if you haven’t yet. Otherwise, you cannot use the table or get the supplies from it.
- The Crafting Table now appears in Rold’s Laboratory upon entering but you cannot use it if you haven’t met him yet.
- I’ve added the Metallurgy Kit to all the Loot and Search Tables.
- I’ve added all the Kits and Crafting Items to the PVM. It has a new Crafting Items category. You can also spawn your own Crafting Table and Cayden John’s Crafting Notes too.
- Opening the PVM now properly clears the screen of all other text.
COMING UP:
Finishing up Rold's Initial Conversation with the Dominant Sex Scenes for all Moods, (rewriting small parts of the Sarcasm Submissive Scene since I had to rush-rewrite it after it got deleted from the last release (I just want to make sure it's up to par). Adding that Laboratory Travel Boolean for the transformations depending if Rold warns you or now to watch out, remastering the Tallification Potion with a possible Bad End, starting the Experimentation Cells and the quick conversations/sex scenes you can experience there (or finding items), hopefully starting and finishing another system as well, the Corruption System. That will leave 2-3 major systems left. After that release, I'll start working on Entice.
Next Release: AMS v0.96D (Public or PTB depending on votes)
Whew!
Have a great night everyone! If you have any questions lemme know.
