🕑 Added 2019-06-17 18:02:51 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
Before jumping head first into the cool refreshing waters of the progress report and all that, let's first wade the water of the new patrons and get to know those nice and thoroughly ^_~ Sorry, I have water on my mind because I'm taking a two day vacation.
Anyway!
Please give a warm welcome to the following individuals; Jay R., Isaac R., Ak S., Loopzoop, Manga AI, Whatever Dude, Mark A.B., CommonerCash3, Jake H., Dirty, Z R., Elias N., Julien B., Bobby H., Sunny, Vvarsus, Daposer, Dragonaut and Midwest1992
and let's welcome back the masochists of just keep coming back for more >:) ; Xavier K., Leeroy and Joshua N.
All of you, thank you so much for your generosity and kind-hearts. My family and I super appreciate that you would be willing to donate your time and hard-earned money to our family and to my ongoing project. I've been working as hard as I can to bring you a quality text adventure that doesn't force grinding, encourages multiple paths, choices that matter and RPG content that is focused on adventure, relationships and occasionally adult content.
With that said, you all will be receiving Benefit Emails in the next few days (when I get back from my two day vacation) which will have all of the donation codes you've earned and instructions on how to use them. If you have absolutely any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me. Also, be sure to report any bugs or errors you run across so that I can repair them for the upcoming update 0.34A.

Progress Report:
Since I don't have a lot of time to explain things, I'll just list the major things I've been working on this month. It's been a bit hectic IRL since family has been visiting and we're preparing to move to a different city and funds are very strained so we need to find the right place for our family. But in between all of that I've been working on the game. Here are some of the major things straight from the ChangeLog...
THERE ARE STORYLINE SPOILERS BELOW.
- I've created a purge Resist Command. So if you don't want your Resist, you can just type "Purge or Resist or PurgeResist" and it will bring up a menu. This has been updated in the Stats too with a reminder. Once you've purged your Resist, you cannot get it back until you earn more Resist.
- I've written Hannah's hero moment where she rescues the Player and takes them to the last remaining room in the Withered Snag (the room in the hallway that the Player couldn't get into before), the Extra Upstairs Guestroom. This scene has two slight variations regarding whether or not Aaleahya was with you before hand and whether or not you were infected by the Emtropy. Either way, it leads the Player to the final scene of Chapter 1.
- The main description of the Extra Guest Bedroom is finished. When you first wake up in this space, it has a randomized TOD. As with all the other rooms in the game, it will have randomized descriptions of things the Player idly notices inside and it will account for different things that Hannah and Aaleahya (if she is in your party) are up to. This room will be upgradeable once you have encountered a certain NPC/Party Member (who will be named later) as well. It contains various objects that the Player can interact with; Wardrobe (where the Player can keep their extra clothing (infinite amount)), Storage Chest (where the Player can keep their extra items (infinite amount)), Guest Bed (where the Player can rest and regain all their Health (which will pass one quarter of the day)) and Curtains (which will show the current weather and Time Of Day when looked at). Each of these have unique descriptions as well.
**For this scene, Hannah's description for all Dominant Moods has been changed slightly to account for the damage she's incurred from not only the explosion but from fighting zombies and searching through debris as well. It also takes into account her hurt limb which It has an internal counter of 15. Meaning, after 15 visits (which are strategically placed through the Whispering Thicket and beyond) her arm will be fully healed.
- I've begin Hannah's and the Player's final scene of Chapter 1.
- The Character Creation has a new menu with 3 choices for the Player to choose from;
1. New Character: Manually create a new character from scratch (the usual run-through).
2. Randomize Character: Randomize every aspect of a new character (you just have to input a name at the end).
3. Premade Character: Allows you to select one of the several premade characters designed by patrons/donators.
*These took an astronomical amount of time to implement and recode @_@ I think it was close to 70k words. So randomly generated characters and Premades have returned.
Save/Load Report:
I've also talked with the new programmer about the Save/Load system and we've discussed what needs to be done with it and the steps that need to be taken to move it forward and to update it.
She's going to dig into it this week and see what she can come up with.
We're also working together to fix all the current Save/Load errors in the event that even if a new system can't be thrown together by the end of the month, we can get the current one working. Fingers crossed!
----------------------------
That's about all I got for the time being. I should be starting and possibly finishing Hannah's final conversation of Chapter 1 with the Player while I'm gone (or at least knocking out a huge chunk of it), since everything else in the room is set up and ready to go. Wish me luck!
If you have any questions about anything, be sure to shoot them my way and I'll respond as promptly as I can ^_^
