Progress Report: Bug Fixes, Night Time Travel Cont., Title Music
🕑 Added 2017-04-13 04:27:51 +0000 UTC Hey all! There won't be much to this progress report simply because all I've been doing is writing a ton and setting up asethetic appeal in the new Winding Wood room. I've also been bug fixing a little and I've modified the way I'm going to start presenting the ChangeLog. Instead of one gigantic mess of things I've done. I will instead, break it into categories for easier reading. Anyway! We're about to eat, so I'll get on with it ^_^
Oh and before I forget, there is a Pregnancy Question on Patreon that I would love everyone to share their opinion on if you have the time. Thank you in advance! Link is below.

Bug Fixes:
I tested the Winding Wood room and found some of the scripts to be a little disjointed and there was an error or two as well but not much surprisingly! I was expecting A LOT more considering the size of the scripts so that was a pleasant surprise. Anyway, I fixed several errors there and a couple in the Night Travel Script, and one or two in the new player descriptions that are finished. So all of that should be ready and up-to-date now!
Night Time Travel Cont:
I've restructured how the Night Travel is going to work and made it a little more efficient. It's sure getting big too, 50k words so far and I've only completed two of the variable scenarios. Here is the restructure...
1. Damage Scenario: 25% of the time you’ll receive this scenario. There is a chance that you can lose health, more health if it's raining and even more health if it's storming; there are four possibilities of health loss each has a 25% chance if this particular category procs. R = Rain, S = Storm, N = Night. The number next to the letter is the health you could potentially lose;
Scenario 1: R 4 S 6 N 2
Scenario 2: R 5 S 7 N 3
Scenario 3: R 6 S 8 N 4
Scenario 4: R 7, S 9, N 5.
(if you have a Defense of 5 or greater however, you will gain back +1 health from all scenarios)
A placeholder for Clothing Damage has been placed in this scenario as well.
25% of the time you’ll also wind up at a random place on the current area’s entire map, 25% of the time you’ll wind up right back where you started, and the rest of the time, you’ll reach the destination you intended (which is by far the most common)! This is assuming you are NOT traveling without a light of some kind. Having a light will ALWAYS bring you where you want to go without health loss.
**However: the lost scenario currently leads you to the destination you intended and will do so until more rooms of the Whispering Thicket are implemented. This scenario is mostly completed.
2. Trap/Pitfall Scenario: 25% of the time you’ll receive this scenario. 25% chance to run into various traps or pitfalls (including sexual traps and pitfalls!). This scenario is currently a placeholder.
3. Loot Scenario: 25% of the time you’ll receive this scenario. 25% chance to run into something useful.
Scenario 1: Dead Body + Loot *In the works*
Scenario 2: Small Clearing/Dropped Item *placeholder*
Scenario 3: A Crate Box/Box Changes Conditions *placeholder*
Scenario 4: Happenchance Loot *placeholder*
4. Enemy Scenario: 25% of the time you’ll receive this scenario. 25% chance to run into some kind of enemy for the current area. This scenario is currently a placeholder.
45. No Scenario: Most Common Scenario. Finally you successfully travel to the next spot without anything happening at all. This scenario is finished. You will lose -4-ish health as usual for hiking all night and not sleeping.
So that's that a little more fleshed out.
Title Music:
I know I mentioned this a while back but work on the game's title music has finally begun and so far it's really, really cool; deep and emotional at the moment even though it's just the ground work! Once I get another rendition that's a little further along, I'll upload it for you guys to hear. So far most of the Skype Patrons love it though! So I'm looking forward to sharing it with everyone.
COMING UP:
More Cow-Taur and more Night Time Travel. After the next release, I'm focusing on Night Travel, Rest, Character Creation/Character Description and putting in as much sexual content as I can since it's been a little neglected; it'll be a month of sexdates.....naughtydates....hrm---big sexual update! I have some ideas that have been brewing and it's about time to release the kraken.
See you in a few days!
