New Patrons; Ogier the Ogre and Knerf the Kind Kitten + Saturday and Sunday Streams + Happy New Years! + Possible Save/Load Hotfix Quest 5.8
🕑 Added 2018-01-02 22:43:12 +0000 UTC Hey guys! ((Sorry about the huge title!))Before I get started, I wanted to introduce two brand new patrons; Ogier and Knerf! But let me first apologize for the untimely delay of my acknowledgement of you both. Ultimately, the holidays left me extremely busy with family and I just didn't get around to writing your welcome message until today >.< . I have typed out most of your personalized thank you emails already though, so I hope that makes up for it a little bit. I also hope both of you find a nice home here among peers with a like minded interest in quality writing and a grand adventure with adult themes because that's what this game is all about! I can honestly say we have an excellent community here too and I absolutely adore those who I have gotten to speak with over Discord! You guys are amazing and I appreciate the hell out of you. But I digress, I really encourage both of your to share your voice and become an active member of the community because the more enthusiastic a devs followers are, the more energy they have to make the games you love. In my case, long hours of writing and coding are always brightened by you guys and those who send emails thanking me for my hard work on the game thus far. In any case, I should be sending your thank you emails out soon which will have relative information and codes based on your tier! ^_^
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank those who've returned with pledges. I know the holiday seasons are always rough and that weird Patreon billing thing was a nightmare but if you have ever considered leaving because of me personally---or perhaps me as a dev or because you've felt neglected or left out of the loop, I implore you to contact me so that we can speak and get everything sorted out. I want you guys to be 100% part of the development process. Maybe that isn't the best approach, I dunno, I've seen devs completely shut out their fan base but I like my community and I like getting to know you guys as we push forward with the adventure. Call me crazy! :D
I tried leaving this message earlier in the morning but apparently Patreon was having some web problems or something and was taking FOR-EV-VER to load things. But anyway, here are the Streams for Saturday and Sunday, the last two days of 2017! Keep in the mind some of the content I was working on in the streams is graphic and involve murder/death/kill -- so if you are squimish you might not want to watch them. They involve killing Hannah with the various weapons in-game. Her "Attack" option was completely rewritten from the ground up and now has scenarios for both knowing her and not knowing her; each having Corruption variables, Strength variables and so on. This also completely concludes Hannah for the time being as well, so she's done, done until the next section of the game. As for Rold, he's coming along nicely too. I'm about half-way finished with his initial conversation and I'm simultaneously working on his Attack script too and have his "Hostile" version all set up and ready to go. Keep in mind, if you attack Hannah, you better run your ass off cause Rold will be coming for you and he has 10k health and hits for 2000 a pop. If you kill Hannah, he'll chase you all the way to the Winding Wood --- assuming you can make it that far. So just be warned!
Also, I need to start cutting off about 5 minutes sooner on the streams aka 55 minutes instead of a full hour because the video compression software I use is limited at 500mb and full hour streams push me to about 510-520 which prevents me from shrinking them >.< Just wanted to let you guys know! ((this was written on the first but I had to find another software program to compress files over 400
Now then! Woo! It's 2018! So Happy New Years everyone :D I hope you guys had a lot of fun over the break but it's time to get back into the swing of work. Don't worry though, I'm right there with you (except work on the game never stopped)! I really need to learn to take breaks >.< ! Other than celebrating the New Year, I'm going to start looking for part-time work since the game can't support my family and I yet, but no worries, it shouldn't affect how much time I'm able to put into it most days. A lot of cool things are flowing down the pipes and I'm excited for them and to get them introduced in the game!
Oh speaking of the game, so Quest 5.8 Beta has come out. You can find it HERE --- with this release, it, from what I can tell and have tested, fix all of the Save/Load errors, save for roughly 5 minor ones which didn't seem to affect anything in-game from the same instance or a new instance. However, the version you guys play is the compressed version of the game, whereas I play the editor. So I don't know if any other discrepancies are happening between the versions. Let me know though! So if there are still game-breaking problems I can inform the Library owner of the Save/Load Library.
Welp! That's all I got for the time being :D Thank you guys again for your support and enthusiasm toward this project so far!
